Pet Care

Oak Tree Veterinary Hospital
1808 S Taylor Rd, Cleveland HeightsI recently switched to Oak Tree Animal Hospital, and I honestly couldn’t be happier. I’ve spent the last few years working with a rescue group for senior puppy mill dogs, so advocating for animals is deeply important to me. Unfortunately, my last vet was a nightmare—I could barely get five minutes of their time, and they were incredibly dismissive of my concerns (which turned out to be critical).
Switching to Oak Tree has been a night-and-day experience. Dr. Smith is incredibly validating, conscious, and thorough. Instead of rushing me out the door or diminishing my concerns, Dr. Smith actually listens and takes the time to collaborate on my dogs' care. It is such a relief to finally have a vet who genuinely cares and gives my dogs the time and respect they deserve.

Phoenix Coffee
2287 Lee Rd, Cleveland HeightsI moved states a year and a half ago and I miss phoenix coffee dearly. They remain my favorite coffee shop and I always pick up beans when I'm in town. Besides their awesome coffee I love the paintings they've added in recent years and I have bought many plants from here. They also carry Cleveland Bagel bagels witch are one of my favorite bagels. Can't wait until I can get coffee here again.

Vero Pizza Napoletana
12421 Cedar Rd, Cleveland HeightsVero is a place my daughter and I frequent together. The servers have always been friendly and nice. The ceasar salad is to die for. The pizza is always fresh! It’s definitely not your “regular pizza place” …. It’s a “cool pizza place”. The ambiance is always really nice, especially the playlist, from smooth/upbeat jazz to classic Kanye tracks. Warning: you have to cut your own pizza in which veto provides scissors for. Get over it. It’s worth it! This will always be a Cleveland heights staple for my daughter and I. The only time I may deduct a star is when they run out of the speculaas gelato—but I guess it’s not completely their fault :). HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Luna Bakery & Cafe
2482 Fairmount Blvd, Cleveland HeightsLuna survived Covid, and continues to offer a real urban cafe experience. The food is good-- and limited to what they can make well. The coffee is good too; there are lots of areas to sit and have a genuine cafe experience in one of the best neighborhoods in Cleveland.

Euro Wafel
1854-A Coventry Rd, Cleveland HeightsMy son asked for ice cream after a fun night of dancing, and this spot just happened to be open around the corner so we decided to check it out and WOW!!! Service was super friendly, prices were totally reasonable, and the banoffee waffle was so good, the waffle itself was so perfectly crispy and delicious. He brought us samples of their Chai (his mother's recipe ❤) and we were floored. Such a perfect ending to a great evening. Absolutely make a stop here!

Starbucks Coffee Company
12405 Cedar Rd, Cleveland HeightsI didn't catch the baristas name, but she had curly red-ish hair with glasses. I came in today very depressed having just learned of a Marine brother of mine passing away, and as I stood in a short line, I couldn't help but notice her personality. She was super kind, with a contagious smile that lit up the room. She greeted every customer with the same smile. She even knew a few frequent customers by name when they came in and what their drink was and the size. When it was my turn, same energy, smile, salutation, and lighting the room with her personality. As she took my order I was torn between the acai or the mango. She recommended the mango, since I had the acai before. Great choice! She definitely left a phenomenal impression. Even wished me well as I left. I couldn't help but to smile, when emotionalI was crushed trying to hold in my pain. I live in TN now and was just visiting. Every trip back from now on, I will stop there and hope she is there with that same vibe! She is the humanity this world needs more of! She was the smile I needed on a somber day! 💚

Pho and Rice
1780 Coventry Rd, Cleveland HeightsLet me tell you this is a absolute delight of a find. We were originally planning to go to the typical hole in the wall up in Cleveland, but it totally slipped our minds that it was the Asian festival. Which btw an absolute nightmare for local Asian dinning. But the food here is fantastic, especially the pho. Tho heads up if you get a hot item, there no ac so be ready to sweat a bit. It was absolutely worth it tho.

Mama Joyce's
2238 Lee Rd, Cleveland HeightsThe food was very good, especially the Mac and cheese. The soul bowl was great, the roughy was good, the wing dings were fine, and the fries were just mush. The staff was friendly for the most part but the kitchen was absolute chaos. It took almost an hour to get my food. If you're going to eat here make sure to bring your patience, you'll need it. I will definitely go back because the food was great and I want to try more from the menu.
