If you have more than 1 income, you cannot efile your municipal taxes.Meaning you have to fill out your taxes pen &paper, then mail it to them.It is an archaic and outdated system designed to punish those who are less fortunate.

I mail mine and my sons tax’s forms the same time every year in separate envelope and some how my sons keep getting lost. He has received 2 letters claiming he did not file and he had to pay $150. This year I will personally walk into the office to deliver our forms and record on my phone so I have proof they was sent.

I submitted my taxes on time. However, they sent me a letter in the mail regarding my tax return, which I replied to via mail. Because, I responded to their letter, they somehow took my response as my filing date, thus now I'm owing $150 in city taxes. This is totally ridiculous, obtuse and unethical. Is this normal practice/procedure of the CCA-Division of Taxation? If it's not the money hungry State of Ohio, I see now the City of Cleveland is no different.

I wish 0 stars was an option because Cleveland CCA is a complete and utter scam. I have paid my taxes on time and now they decide to tell me I have a late fee from two years ago, which again, is not true but is "non-disputable". I have tried for months getting in contact with them but always get hung up on when I call saying that there are no operators available. Also, on the notice it says that the late fee starts out at $25 and maxes out at $150, but the CCA won't notify you of a late fee until that fee has maxed out. The CCA is an absolute disgrace to the city of Cleveland.

I have always had the toughest time getting through to someone because the automated machine kept hanging up on me, or saying invalid number(please update this service!) I finally reached an auditor to discuss my estimate statements among other questions, let me tell you the Lady Miss Crosby was the best! I wish I could just deal with her only. She took her time and asked the right questions and explained everything so plainly! I give Miss Crosby ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Thank you for your help!

The auditor I spoke with was not very helpful or was being quite rude. Their website isn't user friendly by any means either

I was so nervous after reading the reviews but I actually had a really nice time at the downtown CCA office! I worked with Craig to make sure I was filing everything correctly and getting my balance for the previous year squared away. Both receptionists I met and Craig were all so kind and helpful, it really made a stressful situation manageable. If you need to go in to handle your tax matters, don’t worry, you’ll be in good hands.

I don't understand why it takes so long for CCA to put my check through when I pay my taxes. Anywhere from 8-12 weeks for my checks to clear, absolutely ridiculous!

I hesitated calling with all these negative reviews. But I did and Karen was great, she helped me out and took care of what I needed done.

Okay, I think the CCA sucks and city taxes is so stupid. HOWEVER, every auditor I’ve worked with here has been an absolute DELIGHT. They always try to make it easy for you and to save you as much money as they can. They’re more than happy to help you. I recommend taking the time to walk in and work with them directly when possible.

Do not trust them to prepare your municipal income tax return. They did mine wrong and if I had not caught the mistake I would have overpaid by $550!

Dealing with CCA is the absolute worst. They don't make anything easy, and their customer service is just rude. Their website looks like it hasn't been updated since the 90's, and it's difficult to navigate and continue allowing for automatic estimates to avoid penalties. I'm glad my city switched to RITA... they seem to know what they're doing. I can easily pay RITA online, and they send me quarterly estimates without having to call them every year.

Never even heard of CCA until I was sent a letter saying I did not file in 2021.Now they just sent me a statement, billing me nearly twice the balance owed in late fees, plus interest. Absolute crooks.

Lady hung up on me when I said I do not understand. Cleveland quick to take money but hard to get back
