I rarely shop at Dollar General, and my recent visit confirmed why. The store advertised a deal for True Living paper plates and bowls—3 for $5 on assorted sizes. However, when I went to check out, the items didn’t ring up correctly. When I brought this to the attention of an employee, she told me the deal only worked if I purchased three of the same item. I agreed and selected three identical paper plates, but they still didn’t ring up at the advertised price.
Rather than offering a solution or attempting to resolve the issue, the employee simply stated, “I don’t know why it’s happening.” This response was unhelpful and frustrating. To make matters worse, the employee’s appearance was unprofessional, unkept hair and attire that gave the impression she had just rolled out of bed.
The misleading signage and lack of professionalism from the staff made this shopping experience unpleasant. This store would benefit greatly from better training, clearer communication, and employees who take pride in their work. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

Willfully operate by violating fourth amendment and forcing Communist values upon patrons. They demand to seize private property unprovoked. Without any liability for that, private property and police Stand By and watch ...who By the way. hold an oath to the supreme law of this land. As an American, I refuse to have Communist values forced upon me by law enforcement and business owners who do not embrace american values. Preaching to me on how to be a good citizen and shop properly by violating my rights.

They’re usually reliable, but pulled up at 9:30 PM on a Friday night to grab a toothbrush for my niece who is staying over and the doors were locked. Someone was walking around the store but ignored us at the door. There’s a sign that says they close at 10 PM on the door.

The Manger stephanie is a b.. she don't care about her employees I quit after a short while. She don't know how 2 talk to her employees & always gets mad if u txt her when she's off ? she don't even train peoples if u have a question she's going to tell u to ask a asm mDon't work here

I purchased a fan from dg last night when I open the box it was an old dirty broken fan in the box I took it back to store they wouldn't give me a refund. This is so discussing. It's not fair that I had to pay for someone else junk.

Went to the store today and the door was locked during regular business hours. A lot of people came to shop and was not able to...don't understand how that works...was told by someone wanting to shop that the cashier inside the store was "busy" and could not wait on customers

Store sucks. The workers close the store an hour earlier than they're supposed to. Store hours are 8a to 10p. I arrived at 906p and the doors were locked. I had a doordash order to shop for. I along with a few other potential customers stood waiting at door. The short heavy set worker with dreadlocks and glasses looked at us and kept walking. Terrible store.

I can always tell when a certain manager is not working last night the cashier had the radio next to her so loud and she wasn't friendly very disappointed. I recommend going to this place during the day time. I have to get the day manager name when I see her again.
