To be totally honest, if I could give no stars I would! We get there, all the OPEN signs were on and ring the bell a few times since the doors are locked and get no answer so we have to call the store to ask if they could open the door to let us in since we had some harmonicas we wanted to get looked at and maybe sold but we get told they're busy and to look on Google for information on them. Well here I am on Google. That's not how you run a business!!

Great place to obtain music instruments to start your musical career. Or a stereo system to listen to music. Also the artwork on the walls is really nice.

Spent a lot time talking with Robert, great guy, he's got some great equipment and some hidden jems in there. He reasonably priced, and for the guitar aficionado's out there, he's got an early '60's Aria Diamond Series 12 string hollow body at a really great price, and with a little work, not only is it a beautiful instrument, it's a piece of art. He's got some older, harder to find recording equipment too, keyboards, and a Fender P-bass hanging on the wall at unbelievable price. Go check him out.

Rob is a great guy and goes out of his way to help you find what you're looking for if in stock. Plenty of amps and equipment there for musicians on a budget.

Founded locally in 1941, Prospect Music is overflowing with character. They have an excellent collection of vintage instruments, ranging from guitars and banjos to harmonicas, clarinets and horns. Many of them are still in the original, old-fashioned packing, and are a true old timey blast from the past. They also have a decent selection of drum accessories, modern guitars and guitar accessories, which is fantastic if you need to quickly purchase strings, straps, or picks. Every time I enter, they seem to also always have the most unique children's guitars. I wish I was 11 years old and could rock that mini-pink Fender with flower detailing! The store accommodates all types of musicians: novice, advanced, pre-professional, professional, and simply collectors. You can also call ahead to get instruments appraised or have their staff examine a broken instrument. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and attentive, and while they are the only music shop in downtown Cleveland, not sure I'd even think of going to another one.
