Ordered delivery from DoorDash. Hofbrauhaus confirmed the order, and took my money. When my order still wasn't ready after the Dasher waited 20 minutes, he complained. A manager threw him out, and canceled my order. No reason given.

Couldn’t even get helped came in and was told under his breath I’m not taking another order. Now I’m not sure if dude was having a bad day but after 10 minutes of standing in the same spot I think anyone would get upset and patient so I asked for a manager and I was great by a big slouch of a man that didn’t seem to eager to help me either so long story short the man that was supposed to take my order and I proceed to have a conversation consisting of why I had to wait and get a manager myself and he told me because he didn’t care I responded by letting him know to tell his boss that not me. And the slouch came from around got into my face and told me to go. Now I’m in no desperate need to give my money away I am pretty willing to let this fake tough guy ruin his business for all his dining room to observe this guy is a joke and the business can’t be led with no head customers BEWARE

We were very disappointed with our dinner at Hofbrauhaus. It started with the hostess leading us to our table while holding a broom and dustpan. Staff seemed disinterested and unhappy to be there, standing around and socializing when they weren't sweeping up. We were there at 6 for dinner and were one of three occupied tables. I could get past the service issues, but the food was not very good. I'm pretty sure it was pre-cooked long before and microwaved. My wife's schnitzel tasted okay but was hard to cut. My sauerbraten was tasty but the cabbage that came with it was not. The beer was fine. We've dined at the Las Vegas location several times, and the food there was great and tasted freshly made. We won't return to this location for food.

Neighborhood dad’s night out was a big hit at the Hofbrauhouse Cleveland. Food was great, huge fan of the JAEGERSCHNITZEL!! Have to love the live polka music and Beer stein holding contest! Immaculate brewery.

I made the very unfortunate decision to book a reservation here.I knew going into it we had a large group and chose the Hofbrauhaus for their accommodation of larger parties and the atmosphere. I called for a party of 24 and at no point during the phone call were we told there was a time limit, and they would be able to accommodate our party. We arrived early and were seated in no time. We had 2 servers for the 2 tables we had and they were nothing short of exceptional! The food was okay to say the least with a majority of it cold, and taking a while to come out. We were all drinking and having a great time until 1 of the 2 tables we had reserved was told/forced to leave by the very rude manager for reaching the allotted “2 hour limit.” There was no greeting from him, just a blunt “it’s been 2 hours, our next reservation is here” with a quick departure from our table. Several staff members began cleaning and taking all cups/tableware away from the table to set up for the next party with our guests still sitting. Absolutely no warning while more than half of the table just ordered another round of drinks. To put simply, the management of Hofbrauhaus of Cleveland has bad practice, communication skills and organization, especially when it comes to customer service. When Hofbrauhaus of Cleveland is under new management, I will gladly return.

We spent well over $100 here and were told we had to get out because the next reservations were there for our table. Poor customer service for paying customers. We actually got kicked out while our glasses still had beer in them. Will not be returning. The owner was extremely rude.

Went with friends and it was a fun atmosphere. The food is legit and delicious, even though it was basically cold when it got to our table and we waited a little long and it wasnt super busy. It didn't matter, I'm still going back again. They have a ski shot for doing shots with your group. It looked fun. There was also live German music. We went on a Sunday afternoon.Vegetarian options: Spaetzel, Perogies, several side dishes and a vegetarian section on the menuKid-friendliness: Yes they had a family event with kids crafts.

We usually dine here about once a month--always enjoying the staff, food & beer. This time, however, we were treated unbelievably rudely. We had 11am reservations (made weeks in advance) and when we arrived, we were told that they were hosting a private event--that no tables were available. I again said that we had a reservation and was told we could STAND at the bar if we wanted to. I guess since reservations mean nothing to the staff at Hofbrau Haus, we'll have to take our business elsewhere.

Unique place...loud, fun, party atmosphere. Not sure how it would be on a week night, we went on a Friday night and they had a great live band. Huge dining area with large tables. Obviously German food. I believe there were a few options that were not German, like a hamburger. Place was hopping and busy which is why I gave 4 stars to service. It took a bit for our food but understandably...it was busy. Drinks and apps came quickly, only main course took longer.

Reservations are required for dinner on the weekend but the helpful and not outdated website doesn’t mention this. Not to worry though, you’ll find out after you’ve waited 15 minutes in the valet line, unloaded your family from the car, and walked up to the front door to find the attentive staff have taped up a sign to tell you “Reservations Required.” “Thanks guys” you’ll think, “how helpful and well placed.” Hungry and down but not defeated, you can just call for carry out because the website says so. Well, the carry out number goes to HR, catering, or general voicemail. You’ll call again thinking you’ve made a wrong selection but nope, HR, catering, or general voicemail. As your three year old says “I want a soft pretzel” because you promised her one while looking at the menu on the website you’ll think “what the hell, we’re standing in front of this restaurant so why not just go in to order our carry out.” Silly you for thinking such nonsense. You should have known you’d be foiled again, this time by the grouchiest and least helpful host you’ve ever encountered who will outright refuse to sell you carry out in spite of your pleas (yes pleas) and reminder the website advertises and encourages (yes encourages) you to order carry out. Don’t bother asking if there’s room for two and a toddler because the host will remind you of the hard work they put into that very helpful sign on the front door about reservations. She’s right to do so of course and you won’t at all feel embarrassed or like a scolded child. You also won’t feel humiliated as the host looks through you, asking for the next guest who was considerate enough to make a reservation. She’ll also let you know she’s the only one working which of course you should have noticed. Your fault, not the restaurant’s. As you walk away empty handed, hungry, and feeling like you’ve done something wrong you’ll take comfort in knowing you’ll never darken the doorway of a Hofbrauhaus ever again even though your office is directly next door to the Columbus location and you've been there dozens of times, the Cincinnati location, and even the location in Munchen because silly you for thinking a restaurant would want to sell you food. Never again.

Great authentic German inspired restaurant! I had an AtlBier - German style brown ale and the Jaegerschnitzel- breaded pork with a mushroom gravy, both were great and very filling! Lite eaters could split! There was live music from 2-6pm on Sunday which was fun. Great place to visit in Cleveland!!!Spent $32 for the dinner & ale and had leftovers to take home!

This place So much fun! The food is great schnitzel..all the German things ...pierogies all the types of sausages you could possibly want. Brewery that knocks it out of the park with every single beer. All the German beers you've learned to love and a familiar German beer hall and the playhouse square neighborhood. Great dog friendly patio during the summertime lots of singing dancing. Something to do before or after a show or on its own in downtown Cleveland. You'll find yourself with lots of reasons to come back.Vegetarian options: I mean I'm sure they have vegetables but this is GermanI mean I'm sure they have vegetables but this is German food vegetarians are a foreign conceptDietary restrictions: I'm sure they would be happy to oblige.Parking: Valet parking in front of restaurant Free Street parking if available paid Street parking during the week. Paid lot across the street and parking garage adjacentKid-friendliness: Not really kid friendly it's a German beer hall with a brewery on premises.Wheelchair accessibility: Whole entire restaurant is easily accessible there are however steps by the patio I'm sure there is an entrance that is wheelchair friendly.

Great German atmosphere with authentic food and live music. The potato cakes, saurkraut balls & fried pickles as well as beer cheese fries was great starter. Pierogis, spaetzel and braewmeister schnitzel all amazing. Open atmosphere with bench style group seating. Live polka music after 4pm on Saturday. Been 3 times on Saturday evenings and it's good polka fun with people joining in on songs & doing shots from a ski. It's a hoot of a time and plenty of 32oz beers to make you feel German. The architecture of the interior & exterior are very European feeling. Expect at least $25 per person. Love this place for food & atmosphere!!!

This is a great place to celebrate birthdays. They allow you to bring balloons for the table plus when the band is there they'll give a shout out for birthdays if you give them their name.We were celebrating my teen daughter's birthday and recommend going earlier than we did on a Saturday because it gets a little rowdy the later you go. It is right by CSU so lots of college students. I also recommend a reservation for your large group.Food was good and service was pretty good for how busy it was.Parking across the street is $10 and the parking garage is $20. So I opted for valet which is $15 when you get it stamped.Parking: The paid parking lot is $10, and parking garage is $20. So I split the difference and used valet for $15 (with HB house validation).
