There's one person at this location—the young lady who sits around the corner from the entrance at her workstation—who is genuinely helpful. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff is one of the least helpful groups I’ve ever encountered. I wouldn’t trust them to run a lemonade stand, let alone handle my finances. It seems like they dislike the general public, likely because this center was originally intended to be a mortgage and business-only facility.
They know every loophole and rule they can use to avoid helping customers instead of working to find solutions or going above and beyond. This has occurred so frequently that we’ve decided to close our account.
We live just a block away, so it’s hard to overstate how bad the service has to be for us to give up that convenience. We paid an extra $25 for expedited service on a lost card, but after ten days of waiting with no delivery, I found myself spending 30 minutes on the phone with customer service instead of receiving assistance or a refund from the employees inside the bank. The representative at the KeyBank location even told me that "I never pay for the expedited card," suggesting she knows the program is ineffective.

They have had a payoff check for over a month and won’t post payment. They tell you they are behind but meanwhile continue to charge interest on loan. Worst customer service in the world.

I am sorry but there is no reason why snappy should be that attitude of a bank teller. The I am better than you atmosphere is just terrible. If I didn’t have to come here, I wouldn’t.

Wondering how this bank has an A+ Rating with all the terrible customer reviews. That's something BBB should fix. Anyhow, I've been with Key Bank business since 2005. I've always been a loyal customer and my business has thrived until Covid shut it down in March 2020. In April 2020, I phoned Key Bank and requested to get a deferral on my monthly loan payments. I spoke to a representative in their loan department who informed me someone would contact me in the next week. 2 weeks later, no phone call so I called again. Key Bank confirmed they received my call and did not have an answer why nobody called me back but stated they would escalate it to a supervisor who would call me within the next 3 to 5 business days. 2 weeks later, no phone call. I called again and was told again it would be escalated. Finally on July 1, 2020, I spoke to Kristen who appeared to be very kind and apologized profusely for the fact nobody from Key Bank had contacted me in my 3 prior attempts. She stated Key Bank could only defer my payments for July thru September and implied I should be getting a deferral and even stated she'd call me back in September to verify if my deferments would be extended after September. Well, On July 22, Kristen phoned me and left me a voice message to call her back. I didn't get around to calling back until August 17, 2020 when I was told Key Bank's underwriters "denied" my deferral. So much for customer loyalty. FYI: I requested a loan deferral for my other business with Bank of the West and got that approval in less than 7 business days with no issues. I told Kristen this who appeared to be very empathetic but stated she could not connect me to anyone with underwriting (I assume those guys operate like the mafia) and upon requesting to speak to a manager, she stated he was in a meeting and would gladly call me back but his hands were tied as well since 100% of the decision rides on Key Bank's unempathetic underwriters. So as a customer of Key Bank, I strongly encourage potential customers to bank with someone else. Key Bank could care less about its customers or the impact of Covid 19. Rather they demand to continue having loyal customers pay them whether they can afford it or not. Terrible company and still perplexed why BBB would give them an A+ Rating with all the numerous complaints against them.

By far the most disappointing bank services I have ever received. After being a reliable client I accidentally overpaid my loan. It is now 5 months later and I have not received a check, despite multiple phone calls. The representatives continue to tell me that they are sending various things in the mail yet nothing has been received. Prior to closing my loan, I received statements every month.

So i bought a vehicle in New Jersey and this is the financial institution they used to get my auto loan. From the first time i got the bill til now, 30 months later, they have my name misspelled. Every time i mailed in my payment i circled it and said it was incorrect and to please fix it. After a long time I decided to actually call. I was on the phone for almost a half hour, and promised this would be fixed. I just called today, the fourth time, to tell them once again it's still wrong. Now is this really affecting my life? Not really. Am i so offended by this that i'm going to emotionally fall apart? Nope. The thing is just that if taking one misplaced letter out of my name is so unbelievably difficult for their employees that it requires 4 phone calls, maybe more difficult banking tasks with them should be avoided. My suggestion, go somewhere else until these people get their act together. EDIT******I got my statement and my name is still spelled wrong. I called for the 5th time, and did the online chat and was told the same story. I asked both employees what they were gonna do this time differently since it hasn't worked the previous four times. Neither one could give me an answer. I asked to speak with someone higher up and was put on hold for over ten minutes with no answer. The online chat rep just disconnected me. EDIT***** So after two and a half years, 8 phone calls, voice chat, 2 emails, and speaking to someone at the "executive" level they have finally fixed the spelling of my last name. In the final call i was told that my name was spelled wrong on paperwork from the dealer, and that only someone at the "executive level" could look that up. But it's funny cuz a customer service rep told me months ago that he checked that and it was fine. So who's being honest? It doesn't really matter but it was expected that they would not apologize and try to shift blame. Avoid this bank, i recently cosigned an auto loan for my daughter and told the salesman "no deal" if they even try to use keybank.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS BANK! They should close the doors on this bank. Absolutely terrible experiences so far. I bought a vehicle in Ohio and was financed with this bank. My first payment was on the 11th of June with a 10 day grace period. They called me today and threatened to late charge me and put bad marks on my credit if I didn't pay today (June 13th!!!!). They called my work and demanded to know why I hadn't made a payment yet. I was literally sitting at work on the clock trying to explain that i have ten days grace period in front of all my coworkers. I would give them ZERO stars if it would let me. I've had three other issues BEFORE MY FIRST PAYMENT WAS DUE! None have been resolved yet. RUN AWAY FROM THIS BANK!

Start watching guys as your keybank checking accounts are about to go into overdraft. They re order the transactions as they see fit. If you have been with them since 2011, I highly recommend you look up the lawsuit that is about to go on in September 2018. This is unethical business practices.
