I called to inquire about getting a 1 page document notarized. I've been a KeyBank customer for over 3 decades. I started the call telling her that I bank with KeyBank.I've gotten documents notarized at various branches over the years.I spoke to Pam, who told me that she's the only notary in the bank. She told me that she could not notarized my document, tried to give me some spiel about if she goes to court etc. and told me I should go to Fed-Ex to use a notary.The ignorance displayed by this teller/notary was very concerning. She's turning away Keybank customers for a service they provide. It's pure laziness.I just made an appointment at the KeyBank less than half a mile way in Cleveland Clinic. The notary there help me set an appointment to have my document notarized. No hassle!They should retrain Pam and/or provide a competent notary who's capable of providing banking services.Update: Branch manager called me back within the hour. She states that they were told that they can only notarize "simple documents" so they are not pulled away from the bank if the case should go to court.What?? A notary's responsibility is to verify that all parties agree or consent to what's on the document. Verify identification of all parties and have them sign in front of you.She asked if I wanted to show her my document. Umm no. Not wasting my time with incompetence. I told her I have an appointment at the other KeyBank right up the street.

I'm in a motel for 18 days. I need to do laundry. Walked across the street to key bank to purchase a roll of quarters so I could do laundry. They said no because I don't have an account there. What kind of world is this? Either they are soo uptight or its because I'm white?

Worst bank ever. Every time I go In there always 1 teller and a line. Be ready to wait in line. Bring a lunch and a chair with you because you ain't moving nowhere fast.

Was told to go to any branch for a replacement card, but I was told they were on backorder. It's 2018 and they can not keep a stock of cards?There has been no reason in the last 5 years for me to actually go into a bank and when I do, they are useless.

This is my regular bank. The secrity guard is cool and a the tellers are nice. I was declined a line of credit due to my horrible credit score.

Possibly the slowest bank I've ever been to. One of the tellers was typing with a single finger while a line of about 10 people formed.
