Our appetizers were frog legs- lightly fried( yummy) and mussels. We ordered a bottle of wine and enjoyed sipping and watching the books and servers do their thing. We split veal scallopini which came with a little ziti pasta in red sauce and Parmesan cheese. We had cannolis for dessert which were delicious. The waiter was incredible, actually one of the best I've had in awhile. The food was reasonably priced and we just really enjoyed the whole evening. Would go there again tonight if I could!

Small and intimate restaurant. Attention to details made a lunch feel special. Lobster ravioli was delicious and I think about it often.

Ordered a steak medium rare. It was well done. Appetizers were good.

The food here was soooo good! Had the fried mozzarella (literally the best I've ever had in my life!), the bruschetta, and the papparadelle noodles with the Bolognese sauce. It was divine! Our waiter (I think his name was RJ) was equally amazing. I'll definitely be going back. Just wish it was a little easier to park in Little Italy!

Food is excellent. Try the farfalle. The servers are remarkable. The seating by the window is somewhat compact but that is part of the ambience. I love Maxi's. And don't forget to order escarole and calamari . . . And take home a pizza!!

First time dinning here . Date night on Friday night, not super busy Restorant , just a few tables for 5pm reservations . Italian Music that was playing was lovely !!, service was little disappointing. Every table around had bread and butter served, but not our table , didn't even offer. Server was not very friendly or attentive. Felt as I'm was inconveniencing him by asking for another drink ..... As for food , average , had Maxis pizza, was average so as my pasta with meatballs was just ok . Will comeback in summer for outdoor seating and will give another chance .. just had very high hopes for my first time there , disappointed.

I take the family here about 1 a month. The food is always perfectly cooked. I always have to order the calamari appetizer, it is absolutely the best I've ever had. Pasta always cooked to perfection, the staff is always friendly and attentive. Always has that family atmosphere. I highly recommend dining at Maxi's.

We went for my husbands birthday before the orchestra with our 4 kids. The food was amazing!! We all got something different and everyone was happy! Mussels appetizer was outstanding and the fresh baked bread incredible. Thank you for the birthday tiramisu as well! An incredible dining experience !

I had heard great things about Maxi's but it was just sort of mediocre. The service was great but the food lacked. The appetizers were luke warm. The carbonara looked off-putting and I don't think the peas were fresh they tasted like they had been previously frozen.

What a disappointment. There was a scent of sewer in the place, thinking it was momentary. we sat at the bar and placed our order. Food was disappointing this time which is unusual. When I asked the bartender for more water, he grabbed the glass, placed it on the back of the bar and started talking to the two other customers at the bar. A few minutes later we reminded him about the water and he looked at us and said yeah it's coming and went back to chatting. A few minutes later he refills the glass, slides it down the bar to us and says, " I didn't realize it was a matter of life or death." Seriously! It was water and we were eating, you can chat while you refill the glass. The rudeness did not stop there, he refused to make eye contact with us. I then had to ask another server to ring us out. Unfortunately I can no longer support this establishment.
