The care I receive at Metro is always great. That's why I advocate for Metro all the time because of the care and the way that people treat you at that place. It's on like any other hospital. Thank you for all that you do

Cleveland Heights Metro Emergency department is very unprofessional and inadequate. I took my mom in 3/4/23 with abdominal pain t 7am and they did not get her hooked up to an IV till after 1 pm. No one could find a vein to take her blood and it took someone from another department who came right in and got the job done. No diagnosis was given and the on call doctor suggested if she felt better than she could go home. No preventative measures nor a definitive diagnosis was given. She was still in level 10 pain. We refused to take no for an answer and got her admitted. She is still there with the same symptoms, being given pain meds and no prognosis. We will be transferring her to a new hospital soon. The atmosphere there is very nonchalant and unprofessional.

I have mixed feelings about this health care facility. Today was my first time visiting this location and it didn't start off so well. The parking was an absolute nightmare. When I finally found the P1 parking garage, for visitors, I was informed that I would have to take a shuttle to the hospital. At this point I'm already late because I drove around for 10-15 minutes and now have to wait for a shuttle?!! I immediately pulled out, thankfully before I owed money for parking, and drove around again. This time I was able to find underground Outpatient parking. The 3 stars are honestly for the staff, especially my nurse, in the infusion center. Even though I was 30 minutes late, they were extremely nice and helped me right away. Someone even told me how to get back to the garage where I parked! There was initially an issue with me even getting an appointment that wasn't 4 1/2 months out but thankfully Patient Relations was able to help with that. While I don't think this place is all bad. My Mother's cancer care is going well, there is most definitely room for improvement.

Busy, busy, busy is Metro Main Campus Pharmacy, still makes time to answer questions. Provided with a Professional confident smile in the tone of voice that provides accurate information. I am on several meds, prone to side effects from interactions, Metro Main is an anxiety buster.

Now it's December and nothing has changed. Zero response from provider or his secretary (2 emails and 2 phone calls sent by me over a 4-week period.) Seriously? But, I just received a request asking for money to support Metrohealth; obviously NO problem getting me on their fundraising list. No response to my multiple attempts to reach out = no donation, and I doubt I am an isolated case.

I just wanted it noted that if I pass away it's the complete incompetence of Dr. Oberman (however she spells her name) and RN Lisa who worked at this location. Both incompetent jokes that will cost you your life. They couldn't even draw blood a paramedic had to come do it for them after leaving me sore and covered in my own blood. Eventually I left after feeling more under the weather than when I came in. At least if I die at home, I'll die in my warm bed at peace instead of a cold hallway being treated like crap and my health not taken seriously.

I loved my provider and then she left Metro with no notice and I found out on my own when I was looking at MyChart that she left and my next appointment would be with someone else. About three days after that I got a MyChart message from Metro to tell me about this new appointment. One week later, I received a letter with a reminder of this appointment, and another week later, I received a letter from Metro stating that my provider was no longer with Metro and gave me a list of the other providers, as if they had not already scheduled the appointment for me without my knowledge or consent. They were unable to schedule me for a sooner appointment with this new provider. I will be going into my appointment with this new provider very skeptically because this is not a great way to operate.

some departments are fantastic... neurology, peds, OB... staff and physicians want to be there and are super providers... and some departments are awful... dentist and oral, ENT, etc... the wait time are ridiculous to be seen, even when pain is intense and the underlying issues (infection) can lead to more serious issues.

DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL IF YOU CAN HELP IT! I would give this hospital 0 stars if I could. My grandma was admitted on Sunday after having a seizure and they starved her until Tuesday because they took forever to give her the swallowing test. How can you do that to an 84 year old woman! Afterwards, she was released on Tuesday night after having one meal the whole time. My grandpa and mother had to repeatedly help my grandma to ask the staff for the food tray and multiple other things through out the visits, which they said would be brought promptly, but then they proceeded to forget about the requests and had they to ask multiple more times. The doctors and nurses neglected her and took way longer than they should have to get anything done. My mom used to be a nurse and she said the staff were the worst she has ever seen!
