Do not buy anything from here. I purchased a cassette deck for about $100 more than I could have online because I expected it to work great considering it was serviced here before I got it. I was wrong. It lasted about 3 days before countless features stopped working, and when I called them to tell them they claimed that my deck was “cheap” and I’d be lucky to only have the playback feature work. Before purchasing, I explicitly stated that I was looking for something to make recordings with so the owner straight-up lied to my face. Again, do not support this business. You’ll be either be ripped off, have your stuff stop working soon after buying, or both.

A smorgasbord of vintage and modern audio devices. From high end, top-of-the-line turntables, receivers and speakers to Modern affordable options for the beginner. The price and quality spectrum of audio equipment is a wide one my friends, but come with your questions and the well established proprietor will guide you to your new home system like a patient Sherpa on the steep hillsides of a monumental trek. This place is a haven!

Unfortunately I have to agree w most everyone's sad reviews. The girl and the younger kid there are very nice . The owner now is another story. He'll try to bang your wallet for a repair or service every chance he gets. I bought a belt at 200% more than it was on Amazon. Which is fine but once I got that then he informed me there's another belt that he doesn't have the part number for but he knows that it goes bad too and he almost guaranteed my turntable wouldn't work that I was trying to prepare as a gift for Christmas my son. So as he tells me he doesn't sell parts after selling me a part he wouldn't sell me the other belt that I needed unless I left it there for a $75 service charge, nor would he let me even plug it in in the store to see if it works to see if I should leave it for a service repair.

Quit possibly the rudest person I have ever met (Ever!). To the point that I thought it had to be schtick….no one can be this terrible. Walked out with a record player that (as advertised) will play a record. But it was an act of self control to make it through my excruciating 20 minutes in that store. Be prepared to exercise extreme self control. I personally was not interested in visiting more than one location today- otherwise I would have bolted within the first minute as the aggressively condescending comments started to flow. Surreal!

Guy that runs this place is jarringly rude. Make sure you know every esoteric reference from 'Casablanca' in order to shop here. Otherwise any mention of Humphrey Bogart will be met with a condescending scowl and repudiation of yourself as a 'young kid.' As an adult in my 40s I don't find the banter cutesy or even interesting. 'Maltese Falcon' was better anyway. Total douche. Don't buy from here. Didn't have the heart to tell him that Best Buy exists.

Searching for retro stereo equipment I came across this gem of a store! Anything you can possibly need speakers, turn tables, tuners, records they have it all and knowledgeable staff to help you put it together.

I was talking to the Dude with the ear ring in his lip. That should have been my first clue ! When he said...It look's nice & clean inside. I told him everything else lights up and clicks just fine. I think it just needs a new belt. I found one Brand New for this model on E Bay. When the OLD GUY with the GREY HAIR interrupted and said... Well...What if it's something else ? To which I said WELL... What if it's NOT ! I just drove here from the EAST SIDE on my DAY OFF with my DEAD GRANDMOTHER'S Vintage Marantz 8 Track Player and that's how you treat me ? I only came here because you said you could fix it in the first place ! I wouldn't let him fix my Bike ! Let alone my Vintage Audio Equipment ! He couldn't have been more Arrogant, Ignorant & Rude if he tried ! Even after I told him it was of great SENTIMENTAL value to me he was just down right COCKY ! You catch more flies with HONEY...HUNNY !! NOT !!! PISS & VINEGAR !!!! Took it to TOPS TV on East 185th Street instead. $17.00 plus tax to install the New Belt !!!!!

It's a kid in a candy store of audio. Lots of Vintage, pre amps, amplifiers Turntables, cassette tape decks along with reel to reel decks and I saw lots of high end speakers to choose from. Very clean place. I enjoy going in there all the time. The shop owner is very nice!!! Richard

It's a great store for stereo equipment. Yes, they have super high end gear, but they also have really good things that is "normal" people can afford. Great selection of used speakers too. Very good prices.

I had my pioneer sx 1080 serviced here a couple years ago, and just thought to leave this review. It's sad because there aren't many places like this left. But the techs are HACKS. The female in the back was very brief, and acted like she wanted nothing to do with me. The receiver was NOT fixed properly at all, and came back onto me after I sold it! Luckily I had the receipt to show them. I don't recommend.

They were nice enough despite all the reviews I've seen about them being dicks. They couldn't fix my stereo amp which was disappointing but when I went to pick it up they had it out for the trash. Luckily I got there in time to save it.

A great place to build an audio system or replace a worn out turntable or speaker. Cartridges and cables too. Used, refurbished and some new. Attractively priced quality vs. a lot of cheap garbage at the big boxes. While you're there, browse the ever changing selection of quality used LPs.

Do NOT go here! 1 star for this deplorable place is too much. I went there to shop with my son. The big fat old anglo guy behind the counter said "you look like a guy who tried to rob me". I am not kidding! The fact that I do not look anglo was probably a factor with his attitude.Mind you, I could easily buy anything in the store. I told both my sons that we will never give this place our money. There is a great place in Bedford (Vinyl Groove) that does great sales & service and is very good to ALL his customers, no matter what color or creed.
