Rust Belt Riders is a composting company serving Cleveland. It offers a community drop-off service with many bins located around town, east and west, making composting accessible and easy. For those without a nearby drop-off, there is also a curbside pickup service. The company takes suggestions for new drop-off locations. The process is simple, using any five-gallon bucket or buckets and liners for sale at local retail shops. The website is easy to navigate with all needed information. They compost food scraps, including meat and dairy products, and containers that require high heat, which cannot be done at home. This ensures waste goes somewhere productive. The company sells its superior soil on both a residential and commercial scale. They are easy to work with, prompt, and friendly. Rust Belt Riders is currently the only composting company in the area, making a massive change for the environment and inspiring the community as composting becomes more mainstream.
We came to buy Rust Belt Riders organic compost, made from Cleveland food scraps. RBR staffers are efficient and strong. Note their retail hours are on Fridays only.

I am so glad I signed up for composting. Since starting, I am dropping off approx 15+ lbs each week. I noticed the actual amount of garbage has been reduced. We usually put out 2 bags per week in the trash. Now, it seems only one bag goes on. We are a retired couple with no dependents.

I purchased some bags of Wendell compost at a local garden store, and they were slightly underfilled. Customer service was top-notch and they took care of me. They are hard to get a hold of, so you just have to leave a message and be patient.
