Got milk didn’t look at the date but yea it was expired 2 months ago don’t buy milk from this place and the sharp cheddar cheese turns into a melted ball of goop when warmed up all I got good from here was chicken feet and souse meat and it be so cold in there make summer into winter and winter into bad winter and what’s with the floors sounds like they giving up I wouldn’t be surprised if they was on the news for someone falling into the floor

A grocery store, Church Square Supermarket, 7973 Euclid Ave., had five reports posted on the Web site, all with violations.
One inspection, in March 2024, had critical violations that had to be corrected within 24 hours: food with expiration dates of 2023 and 2020, and candy deemed unfit for sale because of soiled packaging.
In February, inspectors found rodent droppings on window sills, under and behind equipment, and in a closet. They also found a hole inside a closet and no dates on any prepped items. In January 2024 inspection revealed food items not protected from contamination during storage and food kept in dirty bins, among other citations. A month later, the business was cited for improper meat labeling, unclean equipment and utensils and a nonfunctional toilet in the men's room. With that said be extremely careful when buying food products from this store.

It's just your typical establishment where the owners have a hostile relationship with the low-income residents it serves. I only went here once looking for something and they were hostile from the moment I walked through the door and demanded I leave my bag up front.

I have family in that area and reading the reviews of the meats and expired stuff this is where the health dept needs to step up. How are they allowed to operate and maintain inspections for license? When was the last time they had an inspection? I grew up in hough, glenville, st clair area in the 50's and 60's and it still makes me angry with the neighborhood stores we had selling poor quality and hi-priced food. There is no excuse now in the 21st century. The pic of the can of pringles is enough to get the city involved.

I don't like to make reviews that could hurt a business and thus the local community, but I hope this will make them really look into the poor practices being done in that supermarket.For one, lots of the food, from produce to meat to even snacks, are well past their expiration. Not only that, you'd be lucky to find good quality of the packaging, and not beat up or bent. The lighting in there is so bad I thought I was in a depressing Hallmark movie or the beginning of a zombie movie. Some guy even tried to sell me weed in there. I was in there with my sister..Gotta do better. Merry Christmas.

Deli Assistant was very nice! She made sure we found all the right sharp cheese for our event. Even brought it to us while we were shopping.

I love some of the prices I believe the meat prices are too high they don't have a lot of options it seems like a big space of nothing because I only buy certain things out of the store they're almost up there with Dave's Supermarket prices

They're hiring foreigners to run the registers that either do not know how to count or are giving the impression they are stealing. Have to watch them and count your money to be on the safe side.
