Attention for Rebuild: I really like my Kirby but after 35 years I needed to have it rebuilt. In the process they changed the electrical cord. The old cord lasted 35 years and was perfectly fine. The new cord broke after 5 years. Guess what? Out of warranty. I just want my old cord back. Getting a rebuild: Tell them DO NOT CHANGE THE CORD.

I worked for Kirby vacuum many years ago. The man I work for was Matt Maniaci. He not only taught me how to sell this Great product but he taught me how to treat people with sincerity and kindness. Today,I call a kirby office to buy belts. The man that answered the phone was probably one of the rudest people I have ever talked to. Instead of asking, how could I help you? He immediately cut me off and said WHAT DO YOU WANT! I went from being excited about walking into a kirby office and start singing one of their songs to feeling angry. I will buy my belts on line.

These guys know what they're doing, but that might be the problem. Everything was going well until I was running 9 minutes behind schedule. The rudeness Tim exhibited was unbearable, as prior to scheduling he was laughing and joking every second. My question is, what else do they sell in that building? Having to sign in / sign out, 2 security guards at the door and telling me I couldn't leave out was a bit much!!!! Then lying about parts being locked in an area of the building was hilarious to me because I'm sure "Tim" has access to any & everything in that place. His demeanor was totally different after my vacuum was under his possession, like he's some sort of "God" because of his ability to fix my Kirby... This was my second time using them & my experience was much better the first time. The only difference is they've switched locations.... Treat better Tim, please!!!

Bought a Kirby in error been 2 weeks trying to return looks like only 1 person is able to cancel orders. Secondly if u buy from a distributor markup is at least $400 or more from manufacturer’s website while the product is great CS and distributors are scamming customers. I am writing this review because I can’t seem to get through to anyone and when I did only the one manager can cancel this has happened twice now.

While I recognize the Kirby company hides behind the sales team being independent, maybe they should vet who represents them. I'm presently left with a heavy and expensive piece of junk that doesn't work and only serves to damage my rugs and scratch the flooring. I am unable to return this garbage and have fallen on deaf ears by the cons that sold it to me as well as the company. 3 day return policy is utterly ridiculous in this day and age. I guess good for this company, they'll never have to warranty my 45 day old vacuum, because it's going into the trash along with all the overpriced additional garbage that came with it. For shame!

As a consumer, independent salesperson, and now an employee for Kirby I have had nothing but good experiences for the last 27 years.

Kirby is the best vacuum you can buy for your home not only a vacuum, but so much more an inflatable machine also deflates compresses! Will spray paint with water based paints. Has an attachment for anything you can think of from sanding to cleaning ceiling fans! That’s just a small portion of what they can do. Yes they are a little expensive I know what your thinking for a vacuum cleaner?? But they are practically Indestructible and last Literally a lifetime With little maintenance. Never buy another vacuum again. After you see a Demonstration and see what a Kirby can do like Kirby says they are made for those who appreciate quality reliability and performance! You won’t want any other cleaner in your home!! A Kirby literally picks up any mirco piece of dust in sight and more importantly the ones you can’t see. Kirby forever Daniel Presley

I've had my Kirby Sentria for nearly 17 years and had to do maintenance for the very first time. My husband and I finally had to change a worn out belt that has lasted 2-3 sweepings per week since it was new. Prior to our Kirby, we couldn't find a Hoover, Eureka, or Bissell vacuum that could last more than a year cleaning up after kids and dogs in our busy larger home. Kirby cleaners are built to last a lifetime, which justifies the more expensive price tag. I can't imagine how much money would have been wasted on replacing the plastic other vacuums over the past 17 years.
