Wow...The customer service has an attitude. After two months of trying to solve an issue over mail, I called in asking if there is a better way to do it, cuz apparently they don't check every mail they received or usps never deliver them. I was unsatisfied with the customer service lady "Christa", who refused to provide any solution, talked in an condescending manner, and won't tell me anything besides her name is "Christa".Third Federal, dare adding a survey after customers called? You'd be surprised what they have to say. Oh, maybe you don't care.

Cleveland's Third Federal west 25th branch is a complete joke.Never have I worked so hard to do business with a company who doesn't want to do business!100% lack of communication on Third Federal's ability to communicate with its customers.

I opened a HELOC with this bank all the way from sunny California. Surprisingly I found everyone I interacted with on the phone to be friendly and down to earth. Unlike some of the larger banks I considered for our HELOC Third Federal was much less bureaucratic and more flexible during the application process. They seemed hungry for my business and didn't get hung up on little things that caused the other bank I was considering (Chase) to get bogged down. For example, Chase insisted on getting an official payoff letter from one of the accounts I had open while Third Federal was satisfied with a regular statement (the statement listed the account value). During the two weeks it took me to get that payoff letter Third Federal closed my loan. Sorry Chase. Third Federal's interest rate was competitive and i will also be getting a $100 Home Depot gift card for closing (I was told this comes within 30 days of closing). Why not 5*s? They did make a few mistakes on my official loan documents (our house unit # was incorrect) which took me a few phone calls to correct.
