Towpath Trail at Tremont is a great trail with wonderful views of downtown Cleveland, the river, and nearby bridges. It feels like a park despite being just outside the city. The path is used for many activities such as walking, running, jogging, biking, and is a nice safe place to stretch your legs. It can be a little hilly. The trail follows the historic route of the Ohio & Erie Canal, and visitors can see remnants of the canal's infrastructure and historical information. There are many interesting photo opportunities with vintage Cleveland juxtaposed against newer construction and vegetation reclaiming the area. Hidden areas are ripe for exploration. In the Tremont spot, there is a picnic area with some tables and a grill. The trail has connections to other roads so you can make it any distance you want.
