THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL LOCATION I'VE BEEN TO THIS FAR! I WILL NEVER COME BACK YO THAT LOCATION! THE EMPLOYEES AT THAT LOCATION (GUY WITH DURAG AND GUY WITH TATTOOS ON FACE) ARE SOME UNPROFESSIONAL *************!!! I HATE I CAME AND SPENT MY MONEY!! NEVER AGAIN PASS THE WORD AROUND ABOUT THIS LOCATION!!! SMH

Worst experience I have ever had at a u haul. The staff was rude and unprofessional during check in to other clients, and they attempted to take advantage and severely overcharge. They incorrectly processed the return of the truck when I turned it in, leading them to try to charge me 5x the initial fee. They claimed the truck was never returned, despite me having rented it for only one hour. They were only willing to amend their mistake because I had photos to prove I turned it in and after I had to talk with their corporate headquarters. Turns out that the truck was in the lot the entire time and they had even been renting it out. They clearly attempt to take advantage of customers and so I would highly recommend avoiding this location.

I had to keep the truck an extra day and due to circumstances beyond my control and my things were still in the truck. I forgot to extend the rental. The store called and the man told me to "dump" my furniture and return the truck, he was extremely rude. I told him to call another UHaul store and get the customer another truck instead of harassing me. He hung up on me. It upset me I'm 66 y/o female moving by myself and he tells me to dump my things, that is beyond rude. I have kept trucks before and never had anyone call me to harass me about it. Your questions don't ask about interactions with employees.

Customer service was horrible, seemed more like social gathering than men at work. The guy helping was no help, didn’t offer to explain the process. I will never go back to the 55th location, stick with the 3rd part uhaul shops. No customer parking, not organized inside or outside the building. Cashier kept asking pole to keep the change, I didn’t find it funny at all

Your customer service reps were rude. And the person I gave the key to check in my uhaul purposely checked it in an hour late causing my card to be charged for an additional day as well. They said that I didn't put enough gas in the U-Haul when I know for a fact I did. I already called about this

Hire new employees there’s a guy at this location with one eye and he was very unprofessional he was taking personal calls right in the middle of checking a family in for a truck the rest of the employees did not move with any urgency to do anything it was outrageous the way they spoke to the customers spoke to each other throw the whole team away

The location a little tight, the in and out driveway the same, although at this corner, decent for the most part.The truck coulduse a little TLC, but, ran well. The service team, awesome, fast, check-in, and out.. Very professional, outstanding day !!

Terrible Experience with U-Haul Pickup - Beware of Scams, Unsafe Equipment, and Unhygienic Conditions!I recently had the misfortune of renting a truck from U-Haul on Chester Ave in Cleveland, OH, and my experience was nothing short of a nightmare. The level of incompetence and dishonesty displayed by the U-Haul associates was astounding. I feel compelled to share my terrible experience to warn others and prevent them from going through the same ordeal.Firstly, upon arriving at the U-Haul pickup location, I was appalled to find that the rental truck they assigned to us for our cross country trip had tires that were completely worn out. There was no tread left on the tires, which is a blatant safety hazard. It was clear that the vehicle was not properly maintained, and it was outrageous that they would even consider renting out such a dangerous truck to customers. The associate who handed us the keys showed a complete lack of concern for our safety.Furthermore, the truck we were given had low fluid levels, including oil and coolant, which is a significant safety concern. When we brought this issue to the attention of the associate, their response was dismissive and they displayed a careless attitude towards addressing the problem. Neglecting vital fluid levels not only compromises the performance of the vehicle but also poses a serious risk to the renters.To make matters worse, the truck was in a filthy condition both inside and out. The interior was littered with debris, and it seemed as if it hadn't been cleaned or maintained for months. Not only did this create an uncomfortable environment for us, but it also raised concerns about the overall hygiene and cleanliness of the rental fleet. It is unacceptable for U-Haul to rent out vehicles that are in such deplorable conditions to their customers.As if the unsafe condition of the truck and the lack of cleanliness weren't enough, we encountered another associate who tried to scam us during the process. When we returned with our packed U-Haul to pick up our prepaid auto transport, this second associate intentionally tried to double charged us without any valid explanation. It was a clear case of deceit and an attempt to extort extra money from unsuspecting customers. This kind of dishonest behavior is utterly unacceptable and speaks volumes about the integrity of U-Haul as a company.But the worst part came when the same associate, after trying to cheat us with the double charge, had the audacity to haggle with us for an additional $50 cash fee just to properly secure our vehicle to the auto transport. This outrageous demand was not mentioned anywhere in the initial agreement, and it was clear that they were trying to exploit us for more money. It was a blatant attempt to take advantage of the situation and a downright unethical practice.Throughout this whole ordeal, the U-Haul associates displayed a complete lack of professionalism, integrity, and customer service. Their negligence in providing a safe vehicle, their dismissive attitude towards low fluid levels, and their deliberate attempts to deceive and scam customers are completely unacceptable. It is deeply disappointing to see a company that claims to prioritize customer satisfaction engaging in such dishonest and unethical practices.I strongly advise anyone considering renting from U-Haul the Chester Avenue location to think twice. My experience was a nightmare from start to finish, and I would never want anyone else to go through what I endured. Look for alternative rental options that prioritize customer safety, cleanliness, honesty, and fair practices. U-Haul has lost my trust, and I will never use their services again.
