Maintenance is a joke. I don’t understand why we still have to pay for things to get fixed when we are renting. May as well own my own home.

This has been a long time coming as I lived here for just about five years. As my first place I ever had alone I found at first to be a great little community and truly had no issues until they previous owners sold to the people that now run this community. Over the course of a couple years I have seen a lot from a single trash comparator that over flows every week and during holiday it only gets worse. Two years ago around the holidays they charged me $250 dollars for a box left in-front of the bulk area, due to them not cleaning the walk way to enable people to actually throw trash away. This happens very often as they they also lock the bulk area and close to early to get the key for most people and charge 35 dollar fee to use it. They don’t accommodate and try and be helpful and unfortunately they are quite rude and was a main reason for leaving, as I have gotten into multiple arguments with them as they look for any way to charge you. When they are out of line. They also have an issue there they don’t take care of pests and follow the rules they put in the lease agreement and has cause for birds to get into dryer vents and mice to dig in the mulch(the bird incident was on going for 2 month then I moved so don’t know if it was addressed). Along with having ants in the apartment on the third floor. Looking back I loved this place but after they were bought out this community really started to decline, and wish I could have left sooner then I did. I wouldn’t recommend as their are less expensive and more accommodating places with staff who are not rude around, and can’t think of any reason why I would move back.

Austin place is a nice looking community for the most part, when they can keep maintenance to do grounds correctly. Not to mention the RUDE office staff and the serious bug/roach issue within the units. Even when you keep your home clean they still get in for some reason and pest control can’t seem to get rid of them either. They keep grass cut but there is always a lot of trash on the ground and the dog stations are always over flowing with poop so it stinks especially on hot days. Watch your step! A lot of residents don’t even use the stations and just lets their dog poop wherever! Lastly, they can’t keep a maintenance man to save their lives! Im starting to think the office/ management is the problem. 0/10 do not recommend

Austin place has a variety of amenities including an excellent fitness center, a dog park, and a pool that is ideal for summer. The clubhouse features a movie room and a coffee bar, adding a nice touch to the community. Additionally, maintenance requests are usually addressed quickly.

Austin Place is a great place to call home. I have been here 3 years and have met some very nice and interesting people.
Whenever I had a particular problem in the past, the management team were very willing to do what they could to resolve the issue. The maintenance is A+ and very reliable.
The amenities are awesome, the grounds are well kept, and you can't beat the location.

This place allows fraudulent individuals to rent here. I live in Michigan, never lived in Columbus and they rented to someone who stole my identity. Didn’t check for valid forms of ID, then confronted were no help at all. Criminals rent apartments here!

So this was my review from when I was living at Austin Place. They saw it and said it was a breach of contract to write a review. Yeah. So I took it down to avoid conflict BUUUUUUUUT NOW I DON'T LIVE THERE SO ENJOY!
We have been dealing with a rude disrespectful
INSANELY loud upstairs neighbor for almost 2 months now. He stomps around like he's trying to be as loud as possible and let's his kid run back and forth throughout his entire apartment jumping of of everything ALLLLLL DAAYYYYY EVERY DAY! As I'm writing this it sounds like they are doing jumping jacks!! I tried being civil and talking to the guy but he won't answer his door. Our whole apartment shakes, I'm losing sleep, I have ZERO peace and quiet and I am COMPLETELY stressed out at what is supposed to be my home. The office tells us that they are trying to move the guy but it won't be until March. They have ignored my most recent email trying to get an update on when this is happening. Supposedly persistent loud noise or unnecessary noise will not be tolerated here at Austin Place Apartments buuuuuuuut that obviously doesn't seem to be the case. They are treating them like royalty and us like garbage. I understand having a child and letting it play but the amount of noise that comes from this person and child is truly unacceptable. If they don't abide by the rules and totally ignore notice after notice then why treat them like they are royalty?!? We ourselves are great tenants and have never caused any problems but get to deal with this insanity nonstop. Literally the only time it stops is when they are asleep. It's so frustrating. Before this I would have recommended living here but seeing first hand how things are handled around here I have to say find somewhere else to go. Not worth the stress. Also they keep coming up with rules that never existed before. Oh aaaaaaaand my garage got broken into and a bunch of possessions stolen not long ago so there's that too. Pretty sure it was an employee at the time
because a key was used and they are the only people who have the second one. No cameras ANYWHERE so be prepared for that. I wish I had 2 more hands so I could give this place 4 thumbs down!!

My experience here at Austin Place has been horrible starting from the biggest problem, management is so unprofessional and uncaring of your needs yet are so quick to find something to bill you with, always complaining about unnecessary things but never focus on what actually needs done the trash bin is always overfilled causing it to stink (theirs only one trash bin for the whole complex), your lucky to have an apartment with ac because most of them don’t even work and no matter how many times you file for a maintenance order it still ends up breaking, fees are insane when I was moving out they sent me a letter with so many unnecessary fees almost totaling up to 1500( not including the deposit they kept) landscapers always here but the grass is always dead theirs dog poop everywhere and I’m pretty sure my downstairs neighbor had roaches. 100 % recommend looking somewhere else where they actually care.

My experience at Austin Place Apartments has been nothing short of terrible. The management and communication are the worst I’ve ever encountered. Shortly after moving in, I noticed a significant issue with bugs and roaches. Despite reporting this, I was forced to pay a pest control fee, only to be hit with a fine six months after moving out, despite being told the apartment was clean and in good condition.
The management’s response time is unacceptable. They claimed to have sent an email stating the place was filthy, but my roommate and I spent two full days cleaning and sanitizing the apartment before moving out. Additionally, I repeatedly asked for a copy of the lease and never received it. When I inquired about getting our deposit back, I was told they needed to inspect the apartment and get back to me, which they never did.
Living here was a constant headache due to the ridiculous fees and mismanagement. They even posted eviction notices on our door multiple times that were meant for other people, causing unnecessary stress and confusion. Despite never paying rent late or causing any problems, we were treated with disrespect.
I cannot emphasize enough how strongly I advise against living here. If you do live here, consider moving out as soon as possible. The management is unresponsive, and the fees are exorbitant. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for housing.

Nice place, but management company loves drama. It’s getting old.
24hr gym is nice, mostly quiet community, and the maintenance people are quick and efficient.
However, who ever manages this community non stop sends out text messages to all community members regarding the actions of maybe one or two people who live here acting against community guidelines. In addition will send letters and notices to leave on everyone’s doors about “someone speeding in the community” and “dog pee dripping onto community tenants living on the first floor”. Instead of figuring out who exactly is the cause of the issue and speaking with that person directly, they involve the entire community in DrAmAaaaaa! It’s annoying and comes off as extremely unprofessional.
