COLUMBUS, OHIO -- This is your typical African supermarket. The owner is from Ghana or Nigeria. Here, you will find meats, condiments, snacks, drinks, etc. In my opinion, the store looks average and nothing interesting caught my eye when I visited. I would rate it between 3-4 out of 5 on Yelp. A 3.5 seems fair. I will definitely have to come back again to spend more time browsing the store aisles. I visited on Saturday, 4 July 2020. It was a quick store trip because I was headed to a hair braiding appointment afterwards. I specifically came to buy Dettol soap. This is a anti-bacterial soap that is popular in Nigeria and I would imagine in other African countries as well. It is somewhat of a medicated soap too because it helps prevent germs. I used the liquid version of this soap growing up as a kid in West Africa by dropping a squirt into a bucket of water before bathing (I never liked used a shower growing up and I preferred pouring water on my body by using a bucket in a bathtub....haha). I would recommend coming to this store to buy Dettol soap if you have black spots or breakouts on your skin. I used to get these random spots on my arms and face last year (2019) but those have gone away since using Dettol. I also now use mostly 95% natural soaps but I don't believe Dettol isn't a natural soap. They also sell Malt beverages (non-alcoholic) which many people in West Africa know all about. I grew up drinking Malt in Nigeria. I was happy to find $1 Malta bottle here in this store and I decided to buy one. They also sell cases of Malt drinks. I hadn't drank Malt in a long time so I impulsively bought it. The brand I bought was Goya and they sell other brands too. I love Malt drinks but they are definitely filled with alot of sugar. I will be back to this market because I only spent about 4 mins in the store but my experience was good. I've been here before, years ago, because I used to live in Columbus, Ohio. **** - 31/200 total reviews in 2020 - 407 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 14 July 2020
