Good experience for a 1 night stay. Checked in 2 hrs early. In and out no issues. Whirlpool tub in the room was great. Few broken jets but eh. Pool area was nice and clean. By the airport so plane noise is to be expected. Basic hotel breakfast don't expect much lol

Our club volleyball team recently stayed at the Best Western Port Columbus, and it was an utterly dreadful experience.
The hotel was absolutely disgusting! The general cleanliness of the hotel is abysmal, with cigarette stains and bathroom doors falling off their hinges.
The rooms were cramped and the beds were incredibly uncomfortable. On both Saturday and Sunday morning, there was not enough breakfast available, leaving many of our guests without a meal.
The cleanliness of the rooms was appalling; one of our rooms had a clogged toilet upon check-in, which was extremely unpleasant. We also found bugs in the showers, which is simply unacceptable.
The back door of the hotel was not locked, posing serious safety concerns. Seven cars, including five from our team, were broken into overnight. Car alarms were heard all night, but the front desk did not notify the police. When we tried to address the break-ins with management, they offered no solutions, showing a complete lack of accountability and customer service. They were indifferent, claiming "several cars were broken into in the area" and "the police are investigating."
We also experienced multiple instances of room keys not working on both Friday and Saturday nights. In response, we were given "master" keys to the hotel to serve as our room keys, which is highly concerning.
Additionally, we requested towels on several occasions, only to be told that we needed to bring down our dirty towels so they could be laundered and then brought back to us. Some guests were even told there were no towels available at all.
If I could give it less than 1 star, I would.
Overall, our stay at the Best Western Port Columbus was an absolute nightmare, and we do not recommend this hotel to anyone.
STEER CLEAR!!!!!!!!!

Terrible experience, dirty room, over flowing garbage cans in the breakfast area, cold coffee, dry muffins, juice dispenser without juice. No clean towels or wash clothes in the entire hotel was what I was told. The hallways smelled of weed. Worst hotel stay in many years. There was a very polite and friendly front desk person when I got there. She was the only positive thing during this first and last stay at Best Western.

This hotel was the worst I have ever stayed in. They never came to clean the rooms. When we asked for more towels (we had to stay 2 days) they told us they didn’t have any clean. The workers smoked in the rooms and hallways (actual cigarettes). The free breakfast was cold and by 7 am nothing was left including the coffee (which was cold so it was probably from the day before). There were people running and screaming within the hotel very late at night. It was absolutely awful!

Rooms: The HVAC system was outdated and the heating system rattled when it kicked on. The thermostat did not work so there was no way to control the room temperature.
Nearby activities: The Arnold Classic Convention is only a few miles away but we prepared for the $20 to $30 parking when arriving. Mostly fast food surrounding the hotel and not much else.
Safety: Not much transient in the area
Food and drinks: Would not recommend the breakfast buffet. Very small selection and they lacked fresh fruit option which is surprising for a continental breakfast
Noteworthy details: If you’re in the area for the Arnold convention or for an Ohio State game I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The downstairs area smelled like mothballs and weed. Staff is pretty stingy about towels and they come kinda dirty. Hallways are very loud and the floor creaks pretty bad on the second floor.

This place was sketchy from the get go, stayed there for the weekend for our volleyball team tournament. READ THIS EXPERIENCE IF YOU ARE MAKING SURE THIS IS A GOOD PLACE TO STAY. Not only did it stink like weed and urine in the place but didn't seem like a great place to be around pulling up. Everyone in our group, probably 25+ had to keep getting key cards made left and right, they worked once then didnt work after. Some issuse that got super annoying. Thats just the beginning. 1st night, found out that they have constant car break ins at their hotel and a cop was posted up outside for a couple hours. Apparently it's been going on for months there. 2nd night a bunch a guys were just standing around the lobby when we got back acting weird. Should have thought something then, but didn't. Of course that's the night the cop wasn't there and then wake up to my buddy saying our cars got hit, hurry up and come outside, they bashed out my windows and 6 other cars that night to steal anything they could from cars. Mind you, we were parked in the front by the walk in door. Why didn't any of the staff not see nor hear alarms going off or call the cops right away? I had to call the cops myself and they couldn't do much and say they have been dealing with it for months. Why isn't the staff doing a better job looking out for their customers cars if this is going on? The excuse I got was oh, we were making breakfast and heard some alarms but didn't think anything of it. Wtf? When the cops get there, cameras aren't working as they should, had no answers and can only say sorry that happened. We asked for the GM and she was non existent. Always not there or busy or excuse. One parent stayed there till she showed up and the GM said they would work on a resolution for the situation for all the people that were involved. No word. Called again, front desk lady said on the GM is working on it and you will get a call about it soon. No response and it's 4 days later. This place is a joke. Had to drive home with busted out windows and looks like they are dodging us. There is a lot more to add but enough is said. Out more money fixing my car then my stay. Complete TERRIBLE AND WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. Not safe and don't stay there!!!
Safety: Not safe at all

Rooms seemed fairly cleaned and up yo date.
Outside area is pretty dirty especially the back lot.
Front desk rep was attentive and helped the check in go smooth.
It is near the airport which is a plus, if you’re flying out the next day.

Horrible place to stay high rates of break-ins five cars were broken into including mines. Customer service won’t help refund or do anything. I do not recommend this place at all. I give it a one star
Safety: There’s no safety there. It’s not safe young guys running around with ski mask and guns and breaking into vehicles.

So the hotel staff ( a black lady with locs) try to break into your room at MIDNIGHT to verify your stay? Imagine you’re asleep dead in the night and there’s someone fidgeting with the door and sternly asking your name and if you’re supposed to be sleeping there.
Extremely rude, unapologetic and. unprofessional
That would have been pardoned if she was apologetic or nice about it
“Stated she was doing her job “ by waking customers up at midnight and yelling across the door ?
There are better ways to keep your stay logs up to date and that is not it.
The floors are dirty, the elevator floors kept gathering stains throughout my stay and the hallways have a stench of weed.there was also a sticky mass ( I hope not active wet mould) in the closet
Will not be returning .
