This location and the Hilliard location (same owner) are the worst ran businesses. I rent cars offend for work and EVERYTIME I have an issues. Randomly they changed their policy to needing 2 forms of ID and would not rent to me. Today waited at this location for 30 minutes. It was not open once they arrived, and Guy was checking me out, oh we had policy change they now will not take debit card to pay but they do at their other location will that is 25 mins away. So rude so unprofessional I wish there was a ZERO star. Avis and budget corporate needs to do something about this ownership.

We reserved a car and prepaid for it. Went to pick it up this afternoon, pulled into a completely full lot of random cars and a line of folks standing outside the door. Apparently, the one person working at that location stepped away to perform an oil change on the only car they had available. After 45 minutes he finally showed up and was unapologetic. There were many folks there with us, one woman was from Maryland and thanks to crappy service she was stranded in Columbus with no vehicle. The person offered no assistance other than telling everyone there to call customer service for a refund. No apologies. After trying customer service for the third time (we were on hold for 20 minutes each time and then hung up on) we were able to get a full refund at least. I think this is just a poorly run location but it will be awhile before we use Budget again.

I rented a car from the W. Broad St location in Columbus, OH. The car smells like straight up Marijuana. I didnt want to be "that customer" so my wife and I bought Febreeze and air fresheners the first night to air it out. The next day we drove it again and it did not smell any better. I looked through the car and actually found several small pieces of Marijuana. I called the number on my rental agreement, which took me to corporate Budget. I told them what happened and they said to go to the location and they can swap out cars. I went back to Broad St Budget and explained the situation. The person told me he had no other vehicles for me to rent. He went out and sprayed Febreeze in the car, that's it. Then he said I could come back everyday to see if he had more, or I could drive all the way to the airport Budget to check with them. He didn't offer to call and check for me and he wouldn't give me his store line, he said I needed to call the main 1-800 line. He was not helpful at all. Absolutely terrible service. I will pay the extra $300 to rent from Enterprise and know I will have good service from now on.

Total waste of a good companies location. Negative stars should be allowed. Very small lot and crammed full - with a bad pay here type car lot. Dirty place inside and out. No hello or how can I help you, it's 'what do you want' to my lady. 2 month old reservation for full size SUV, 'they didn't bring it' we are told. Says all he can give us is a mini-van, because 'that's just how I feel today'. He says try another location, we tell him no you guys messed up, so you call another location and find the car we prepaid for, his goofing off on phone coworker chimes in with a laugh and says 'yeah right'. Absolutely rudest, most arrogant worthless employees I've ever encountered in customer service. We walked out, and nobody ever should visit this location.

Just as bad as the airport budget rental. If I could give this place a negative star I would. The lady was not costumer friendly. Had a terrible attitude. The cars were dirty and gross. Please do your self a favor and don't go here. The one in Hilliard is 100 times better.

If I could give zero stars to this "business", I would. I had a truck reserved well in advance at this location on my scheduled moving day. Once at the location, they inform me that they had NO TRUCKS... and didn't really seemed concerned that I needed one. I held calm as the attendant called surrounding facilities to see if they had one, in which she had no luck. I asked her to call me when she found one, to which I NEVER received a call back. Luckily, I borrowed a truck from a friend. But it took way more trips than it would with the larger truck. Fast forward to today, where I see I had a $50 no-show fee from Budget Truck Rental. I call this location to get the charge reversed, and they tell me they can't do it and I'll have to call the "customer service line". This is the point in which I got aggravated. I asked "Gina" why I got charged this in the first place, and they told me that they didn't know because they reported they didn't have a truck for me. Customer service at this location is severely lacking. I was patient during my moving day when they didn't have a truck. And I was patient requesting them to reverse the no-show charge. The moment they told me they couldn't reverse the charge and that I had to call customer service is when I got really aggravated. So I call customer service, where they were nice and accommodating and reversed the charge. But also told me that they DIDN'T LET THEM KNOW THAT I SHOWED UP FOR THE TRUCK and that's why I got charged the no-show fee.

I'm not sure what it is with Budget, but they don't seem to honor reservations at all. I had reserved a truck a week in advance for moving over the weekend. I double checked my reservation online and everything was good to go. When we showed up here to pick up the truck, we were told there weren't any trucks at that location. There was no apology for the inconvenience and no sense of urgency. The woman working called into the customer service line to try to locate us another truck, which she found across town. We had to drive to the Bethel location to pick up the truck. When we arrived at that location, we waited for about 10 minutes before anyone helped us. We had also reserved a dolly for moving a washer and dryer. I was told "remind me about the dolly when we get out there." I was also told that there was an extra $10 fee for dropping off the truck at the end of the day after-hours and leaving the key in the dropbox (completely ridiculous in my opinion, that should be more convenient for them.) When we got the truck back to begin moving we realized it didn't even have a ramp, making the dolly pretty much useless since everything had to be lifted into the truck. All in all, picking up the truck took about an hour and a half altogether and dropping it back off was also inconvenient. When we showed up to drop it off, there were absolutely no spaces left in the parking lot to park it. TL;DR - don't rent a truck through Budget. All of my Uhaul experiences have been super quick, my reservation honored, and they make the process as easy and seamless as possible for about the same price.
