Reserved a truck almost a month in advance. Called the day of my reservation to confirm and was told that they didn’t have a truck for me. Whoever was working that day said that she would try and get a van ready for me and would call me back. NEVER called me back and I was still charged the $75 for the “no show”. Ended up going Home Depot and renting a truck with no hassle. Do not use this location.

I "reserved" a moving truck 5 days in advance.. provided all info including payment information. Budget told me the truck was reserved, but of course with caveats that reserved means basically nothing. They called me the morning of the move to tell me there was no truck, and there were no trucks available in Columbus. What is the bloody purpose of reserving a truck if it means nothing?I called the standard orange-and-white truck rental company and they got me the same sized truck, same day, for half the price.Never Budget again.Update: They then charged me $75 for not showing up as others have reported. I emailed the customer service address and they reversed the charge. Watch out.

To start, the location has moved. The original location of 1400 Bethel is now a Sheetz. The new location is located in the Wal Mart plaza a few miles down Bethel. The drop off of my truck was easy and painless. The folks working the counter were friendly and helpful. The truck itself was well worn with over 177k miles. But it made the trip from Tampa Florida to Dublin Ohio without incident (although it drank a very thirsty 9 miles per gallon on the trip).

Would love to leave 0 Stars, this place is of no help. We received an email with a reservation number and confirmation for a truck. The day before I call to ask a couple questions about insurance procedures with the truck, and I am informed that they do not have our reservation or name (Allegedly), I find it hard to believe we receive a confirmation email and they do not have the record on their end of it. Sounds like they overbooked and do not have the courtesy to call and let you know about the situation. The person I spoke with and informed me of this, offered no solutions or help and all she could tell me was "I can't do anything, we have no trucks" she just repeated this regardless of the question I asked. DO NOT TRUST THEM, TERRIBLY RUN BUSINESS

DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. I'll keep this short because I've wasted enough energy on this horrible business. Look at the photos of the rental car. This car was rented for 2 weeks and kept in a garage when not being used. Do you see the TWO hairs (maybe hair, I'm not sure) in the trunk? They told my parents they were charging them $400 for cleaning because of this "pet hair." NO pets were ever in this car. Things get tracked into cars every time you enter one. For 2 weeks of use I think the car looks immaculate. Shame on this business for trying to take advantage of an older couple who was in a hurry to get to the airport. I drove back to the location to document the condition of the car because their claims were so outrageous. Avoid this business.

Can I give zero stars?Car had low oil, low tire pressure, cracked windshield --- and that was the premium upgrade. Go to the airport to rent a car in this town.

My company has been using this Budget for over 8 years. In the last two, it has gone way down hill. Rentals with weed on the floor. Cars that once at 55 felt like the front wheel was about to fall off. In the past, because we will never give business to them again, we had no less than two vehicles full time, and during some projects, 6 vehicles. Thousands of dollars spent. The final straw was when one of my good friends and coworkers, a black gentleman of 31 driving a 2021 Ford Excursion rented from this Budget. He was driving back from the north end of the state and was contacted by a detective saying his vehicle had been reported stolen. This is not the first time this has happened to the same black gentlemen. He had to drive an hour and a half down 71 hoping he didn't get pulled over. When confronted, the reasoning was a rambling of nonsense. These people don't care about the customer whatsoever. They feel they have you over a barrel and give negligible service. Take your business elsewhere. Avoid the headache and misery. Hope the rumor is true about the place being leveled to build a Sheetz. Dreams really do come true!

I would give them zero stars because they don't deserve any. Unprofessional business with no business ethics. This business should shut down. Be aware do not rent from them. They do not reserve. I'll be filling Fraud charges

Reserved a truck nearly 3 weeks in advance. 1 day before I was supposed to pick up my rental they called and canceled saying they didn't have a truck available for me. Awful customer service and a poorly managed company.

Look at all the one-star reviews - they all say we wish there was a ZER0 star option. DO NOT COME HERE EVER. We were in a pinch for a car for 24 hours. We reserved on line, but they still made me produce my DL, etc, even thought I am a Budget rewards member and this is a "skip the counter" location. I wish I would have seen all the one star reviews which should have been my first clue, that should have been the second. The car we rented was (1) unwashed, (2) the change oil light was on (they said they forgot to reset it) (3) the fuel was on empty (they marked it as full) and (3) it DID NOT HAVE A VALID registration/the tags were EXPIRED. When I called about the registration, they said its ok as they have the BMV's permission and a 90 day extension. When I asked them to send me proof, they HUNG UP ON ME. My wife spoke to BMV and they laughed and said that is not something BMV does. I contacted Budget corporate. I mentioned that this experience is not a one off - this is a pattern of mismanagement, poor service and safety violations. While writing this I am on the line with Budget corporate talking to a customer service supervisor. I implored Budget corporate to close this location until they put in competent management. Otherwise, it is likely that something bad will happen that will result in someone getting hurt due to their shotty business practices. The supervisor apologized and refunded my money - - 0 rapidly. This leads me to believe that either (1) this series of events was so outrageous that Budget immediately recognized the need to refund my money or (2) they know about this location.

Avoid this location at all costs. They are liars and thieves. They tried to charge me a $150 cleaning fee because they were literally a few leaves and a few Cheez-Its on the floor in the backseat. They claimed there was pet hair and it was extremely dirty.

Do not rent here. I rent here often because it's down the street. I came twice now to pick up my rental I reserved online days ahead and they didn't have it. The first time this happened they offered me another vehicle that was a little more in price at the same price of my rental that I PAID AHEAD FOR. Ok, not what I wanted but I still had a vehicle to do what I needed to do. Today I go and they had NOTHING. The only vehi they had was more than double what I reserved and he said I could pay an additional $30 to rent. I refused it because now this is the second time that this Budget has rented my rental. They clearly don't care about their customer, only money. Now I have to call customer service to get my money back.

BEWARE: YOUR “RESERVATION” IS NOT A RESERVATION!A classic case of “shoulda checked the reviews”. Several weeks in advance, I reserved a truck online. They called me at 7 pm the day before I was to pick it up at 8 am saying they didn’t have the truck, but offered me the 26ft truck instead of my supposedly “reserved” 12 footer. Told me it would be there in the morning and after some discussion, told me they’d keep the price the same. Looking at other reviews and seeing all the broken promises like that, where people show up to no truck, I decided better of it and cancelled the reservation. UHaul is slightly more expensive, but its worth it if you’re actually guaranteed a truck! Reserved a UHaul just a few minutes after budget screwed us over. They had one available for the next morning. And, UHaul guarantees they will pay you $50 dollars if they can’t get you the truck on time. Sadly I didn’t learn my lesson the first two times I rented from budget at different locations. In the first, they didn’t have the truck until two hours after they promised. In the second, they didn’t have my reserved length of truck. Now this. They are literally 0 for 3. Never again. Stay away!

Booked 2 weeks in advance, got a call at 6pm the night before we were supposed to move saying they did not have any trucks. They asked that I try another company.Terrible business, no effort to find another truck at a different location. AVOID Budget and Avis Budget Group Inc. like the plague.
