As a professional student, I pay almost $500/year to park in the student lot on my college’s campus. However, there are never enough spots (they claim that there are, but the accessory lot has us crossing 4 lanes of traffic after checking the primary lot), and they issue citations to paid permit holders frivolously. In November, I received a ticket for parking with my license plate facing away from the drive lane, shortly after that policy was implemented. Why should they be allowed to penalize us for pulling through into a parking space in a parking lot that we pay for? When you’re going to class, why should you have to worry about how you legally parked in a lot that you pay for? This past Friday, I received a ticket ($88.25) for parking my car in the lot that I pay for. The appeals committee said that I had registered the car to my account but not my permit— how is their poorly designed system my fault?!— and oh-so-generously reduced the ticket to the daily parking rate of $10.75, despite my having paid for the full year. It is also worth noting that the same car/license plate they said was not on my permit was ticketed in November with no mention of this issue. It’s the same car that I’ve had the entire time I’ve been at OSU, just with a new plate since APRIL 2023.CampusParc is a menace to Ohio State students’ wellbeing and, frankly, scammers and extortionists.

Campus parc sucks. They will find any reason to give you a ticket, literally any. Sad a school is so dedicated to ticketing their students yet the safety at Ohio state is terrible. Funding does not have its priorities straight.

Absolutely horrible company. Their employees are some of the rudest I’ve ever had to deal with. OSU made a huge mistake with CampusParc.

CampusParc Map has shown the locaion that my permit is able to park. I parked there and received a ticket. As I appealled to their faculty, they said they issued the ticket by mistake. And then, the most disgusting things happened, the fine was $80, after they admitted the ticket was issued by mistake, I still need to pay for a fine of $11!If you think you didn't issue the ticket by mistake, then we can keep discussing about that. What do you mean by admitting the mistake and keep charging me for $11??? What's wrong with you company???

You know why I gave this review if you are from OSU.

Called and asked them if they could jump my car because the battery was dead in gateway. The guy on the phone immediately responded that nobody was available and to contact the police, then hung up. Not even 5 seconds later a campus parc truck drove by.

I paid $1000+ for a surface lot parking pass only for the lots to always either be closed for events or construction when I need to park my car at the lots for classes.

Utterly awful. It makes it almost impossible to commute to OSU. For several semesters, I know for a fact I was only charged around $150 for garage access, and now suddenly in 2024, they want $700 and deny it was ever that cheap. I still have a passcard that I certainly would've remembered giving anywhere near $700 for.So I literally have to be driven to campus and picked up a few hours later, as I have no idea where to park. The garage situation at the Columbus campus is an utter joke.

This organization is a joke. They aren’t affiliated with OSU, just an outside contractor. Yet, I have to pay 70 dollars a month for a surface lot space. That are always full anyway, so you are forced to park elsewhere. They also give out tickets for not having your license plate showing because the company is too lazy to get out of their cars to check the plates. Not to mention, if you do have to park elsewhere because the lots you pay for are full, they will give you a ticket. Then said ticket costs 10 dollars more than what I pay monthly. Interesting.

I have been parking with this company for over a year and have had nothing but issues. First, I wasn't given my online pass or physical one for nearly 3 weeks and wasn't refunded for the time I could not park in the garage. It took them that amount of time to respond to my emails and address the problem. Second, my car was broken into and stolen (like had a window broken and everything) while it was parked right beside the security booth, and it ended up getting totaled. Third, I was given a violation warning for "no overnight parking" even though I have parked on the same floor all semester, and have yet to find a single sign stating that the level I parked on does not allow overnight parking. I pay $151 a month for all of these issues! Unfortunately, there aren't any other companies to park with around campus. This place just costs way too much and only monitors your vehicles in ways that earn them more money. The one and only thing this company does a wonderful job at is exploiting college students. Park at your own risk, I suppose.

Such a scam. Somehow holding me hostage in the parking garage even though I have a yearly pass??? I swiped into the garage this morning, and now my badge won’t let me out to go home. I tried getting a ticket and just paying that, but since I’m not as heavy as a car I can’t even pay EXTRA just to get home. Pitiful company. Do better.
