Definitely not the same veterinary clinic that ive been going to since 1999. Dr. Weisel is no longer at the practice and the quality and care is just not there any longer. The new staff are very rude and all about the money, not about you or your fur babies. Avoid this place.

I've been going to Chittenden for years with my kitty and they have always been kind and helped me make the right decisions for my lil buddy. I brought a stray here who I had been nursing back to health for 5 months in hopes of adopting, and unfortunately found out he was FeLV positive and had to be rehomed to protect my cat. I've always recommended Chittenden to people with pets, but this past visit solidified it for me. They showed me and my kitties immense amounts of care and kindness, and checked in on me afterwards. They made a really rough night just a little bit more palatable and I am extremely grateful for that. Peanut, Oyster, and I love Chittenden Vet!

Doctor C is sincerely the best and most caring vet we’ve ever had (5 cats and 4 dogs over the years) and the whole staff is top notch!

Very helpful and friendly. Found a lost dog wandering the area and brought it here. They looked up the owner from the chip, got the dog back, and let us know everything went well!

I really like this clinic for my elderly cat. They are always super kind and professional. They treat him very well and they actually listen to what I have to say. They are also very mindful of what types of medicine they give out to the animal which I really appreciate. They even have a cutle little bucket of toys for my cat to pick from at the end of his visit!

Incredible staff and doctors. Great periodic communications regarding general pet health, and consistent communications regarding specific health reminders for your pet. Good value at their online pharmacy, as well. Can't wait to see the renovations!

My partner and I chose Chittenden Vet Clinic to be our primary vet around when our puppy turned a year old. We chose them because of the positive reviews and the convenience of the location for us. They truly have taken the time to make my dog feel comfortable and safe. She tends to be very anxious but they made it a point to spend some time with her easing her nerves. They had to take blood samples and I really did not think they would be able to do it based off of her skiddish tendencies with other vets. They were able to make her feel comfortable enough to take blood samples which made my partner and i extremely happy. We know our puppy very well and the fact that she trusts them makes me extremely satisfied. Will be recommending to all dog owners I know in the area. Thank you!!!

Wonderful experience here with both my cat and dog. Both of whom are terrors at the vet. And they have no problem working with me with both. I recently adopted an adult Australian cattle dog and she is just terrified while in the office. We ended up doing a sedated exam which went so well, and they let me stay with her through the entire thing. They went above and beyond to suggest a DNA test to check for a genetic disease PRA which can cause blindness in cattle dogs. I had no idea. 10/10. The staff and doctors are amazing.

I visited here with my new puppy and they were all so kind and helpful! They gave me a puppy goody bag with a toy and collar, which was just the cherry on top of the visit that made me feel very welcome here. I know my puppy will be in good hands.

***WARNING***This place is riding the coattails of previous management and previous vets, reviews prior to 2-3 years ago aren't applicable, bewareAfter they cancelled 2 appointments with me last minute they offered me 15% off. I had to reschedule with them after never hearing back and reminded them of their offer at my appointment. The visit was $275 bill and they took off $10. It sucks because it’s not even about the money it’s the fact that they went back on their offer to reconcile their inconveniencing my dog and I. That it feels like it’s all about the money to them. I’m concerned my dogs health and well-being isn’t a priority here.

I first when in to get a health certificate for my cat since i’m flying out the country , when i was going to pay initially $205 , the doctor told me it was going to be $39 more dollars as i asked calmly why it was going to be $39 more the doctor started screaming at me , THE CUSTOMER , of how she was going to be paying the $39 more dollars because that was supposed to go to the state and how that money was going to be useful for her family and how she was going to be paying out of her pocket , which then i obviously started yelling telling her that’s not how you treat a customer since when i called to ask how much it was going to be for the health certificate they never told me there was going to be an extra $39 .AND that’s not the only thing , she started acting so unprofessional with the other nurses telling them i quote “i’m never going to see her again so whatever “ while they were really calm , and I get an instinct that she may be racist since I’m latina from Ecuador . Terrible Experience.

It was time to switch vets. Every appointment with our previous vet was stressful. Our Shepard was anxious and not happy. He is generally very sweet and approachable- but they muzzled him every time and wanted to put him under for a general exam. It made my husband and I upset to be told Nino was an “aggressive dog” as they labeled him, because he is not. After reading the reviews for Chittenden Veterinary Clinic I knew we had to try. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! My husband and I got emotional watching the Dr. sit on the floor and love on our Nino as she examined him. She’s a literal BOSS. It was an experience we never thought we would have.We wanted to feel a connection with our vet and know they would give our dog the care he deserves and not be afraid of him simply because he is a Shepard. And what we got far exceeded our expectations and hopes. We got an actual conversation and actual care. We have found our Vet and are just so happy.
