-1 for customer service. If you’re wanting good customer service and be treated fairly go somewhere else. Literally came in for something o saw online. Was in here looking and the person was helping a other couple ladies, during that I had asked if I could look at something on the other side of the case. She said sure just a second. Then the ladies walked around to where I was standing and waiting. They opened the case, the woman completely ignored me standing there and didn’t even ask if there was something in the case she had opened that I wanted to look at. I stood there waiting and she told the other ladies she was going to put the stuff on the counter while the case was open, at this point she looked at me and said a second. And she literally had the case open, I. My heart and soul I knew the items. I was waiting to look at were going to be grabbed. Which they were, I felt this was a completely unprofessional way to handle business when she was standing right there, and not even acknowledging me to include me in the same case.

Stephanie needs to be fired. It is a lot of drama going on with the employees, but no one is listening to them. Shop here at your own risk.

This was my first time selling items at Clothes Mentor, and it was such a great experience! From the moment I walked in, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. They acknowledged me right away, explained the process, and got me started quickly. When I came back to see what they were purchasing, they went through everything with me and offered a very fair price for my items. I took some time to browse around, and as I was leaving, the manager personally came over to introduce herself and thank me for bringing in my things. That kind of genuine customer service is rare these days, and it really stood out to me. I’ll definitely be back!

I have been to this store 4 times and each and every time I visited this store I have never been acknowledged. I enter the store the the cashier looks up and goes back to what ever she's doing. The workers on the floor look up and look away and continue doing whatever they were doing and that's fine, but just imagine listening to them engaging with every single person that walks through the door after you.... I gave this store 4 opportunity to engage with me and each time they refused. Horrible customer service i with be reaching out to the owners. It takes two seconds to say welcome in. Just sad!!!!

No need to say anything. Should have read all the prior reviews before coming. Thanks to Plato’s closet for directing me here and wasting gas because they were so busy.

Sharing this to save others time and gas. I brought over 10 brand-new dresses with tags (MSRP up to $119) to sell. They couldn’t process them immediately and said they’d call. Three hours later, they called but refused to tell me their offer over the phone. I drove over an hour back, only to be offered $4 for one dress. Everyone was polite, but the process was a complete waste of time and gas. Go somewhere else.

I took 3 bins of clothes in, plus one of shoes. They only took 2 pairs of shoes and a couple tops. I was told they were only looking for summer items and some of the name brands were out of date, most of my items were lane Bryant and Torrid. I realized after picking up my “passed on” items they had never even looked through the clothes. I could tell because they were packed exactly the way they were brought in. I had shorts and a swimsuit (the suit was only 2yrs old and never worn), as well as nice summer skirts, all passed on because someone was either too lazy to look through them, or decided from the few items on top they’re was nothing worth looking at. I can understand the not wanting winter items and did not expect them to take everything, but this was ridiculous.

I was very disappointed in the store on Henderson I have been there a few times now some of my clothes might be a little old fashion like buy a couple years even through that whole place I saw some things that were not very nice and we’re outdated and and that were cheap looking and just hanging in there my clothes were very nice. I had a dress that was $130 tag still on it was beautiful. I think it was a one X and she wanted to give me five dollars and I said no thank you I really don’t Think that whoever is judging the clothes is doing a good job I went there maybe six months ago and they told me that all my clothes were outdated so then I went to Plato‘s I think it was Plato‘s yes cause I’m new to the area and she said that she really couldn’t take any she goes but you should try close mentor because these look like close mentor clothes I said I already went there and she turn me down one time . She took two things one time she took nothing one time she took nothing and this time she wanted to give me 799 for a pair of tennis shoes that were brand new and five dollars for the dress. It was from soft surroundings, which is a very expensive store and online and it was my sister’s. She passed away. I was selling it for the kids and she said five dollars. I said I would rather donate these than take that amount , the girls were nice, but nobody wanted these clothes and there was nothing wrong with these clothes the scarfs she said they don’t sell, which is fine but needless to say, I will never go to a Plato‘s or a close mentor again thank you very much

I had an amazing experience here using the personal shopper option! I hate shopping for clothes normally, it takes sooo much mental energy to pick stuff out, especially in thrift stores. But I used their free personal shopper experience and Christy picked out a bunch of outfits already in my size and colors I wanted, specific to my body type and vibe I was going for. I just showed up and there was already a rack of clothes there to try on and she helped me decide what worked and what didn't and continued to pull more clothes as I tried stuff on.
The clothes are also in great condition and a lot still had tags on them; everything felt like it was new or very gently worn. The prices are very good, I'd say on average it's a little more expensive than some other thrift stores like Goodwill, but the difference in quality and curation makes it worth it.
All the staff there were great, very friendly and it seemed like they knew everyone who came in. It was a really comfortable environment overall.
10000/10 experience and I'll definitely be going back and using the personal shopper service again!

I have been shopping and selling to Clothes Mentor for about 12 years. Everyone has been very kind and helpful the entire 12 years.
Unfortunately, I can’t say this visit was good because of 1 person. I was selling clothes and buying a jacket. I wanted to put it on a different card and had some difficulty doing that. I worked on it for awhile.
The staff knew what I was trying to accomplish but it was taking awhile.
I almost had it figured out and this employee said “If I can’t afford to buy something, I don’t purchase it.”
I was not asking her opinion and would prefer she keep her opinion to herself. I found it rude and judgmental. The rest of the staff were incredible. There was a manager that I have sold and bought clothes for 12 years.
It is difficult to grade the store because everyone in this store has been incredible. Just 1 person was rude and said something ignorant.” I will continue to go to this store but will not entertain any interaction with this employee.

I’ve sold clothes at the UA location for a few years, but I don’t think I will be back. The past few visits I was told my clothes showed wear. The majority of the clothes still had their tags. I can respect that you cannot buy everything, but be honest.

While employees are generally kind, it is very frustrating that items cannot be processed while in store, particularly since several times I have driven a ~40 minute round trip to pick up my items, while receiving no payout. I would appreciate if they could look through smaller baskets within ~20 minutes, or at least offer the option to donate if they don't accept any items. Instead, you are left in the dark and with less time and gas than you had in the first place.
