The library itself is fine, but I strongly object to whoever decided it was a good idea to put a bell in the library and then ring it all afternoon 😭. There is no where safe from the bell in the whole library. I am sitting as far away as I can get and I still hear it ringing (╯‵□′)╯︵┻━┻ <- this will be me if the bell keeps getting rung.

Can anyone explain why there is so many security guards at the public library? I understand there's the homeless that start trouble. But like 4-5 circling security guards?!?? What are they guarding so heavily?!? Is there more that books, maybe a couple dollars at the cafe?!?? Can anyone explain, it's a nice library yes. But...can anyone explain these evil nasty looking security guards just lingering? That's thousands of dollars daily for security. Who's paying for them? The city? How can the city afford thousands for librarians daily, then thousands for security daily as well? For a non profit public library?!?! Who is paying these bills. Our taxes?!?! No way were paying so many security guards salary. What is Columbus Police for??? Security guards to make librarians feel safe?? How about going automated? Or new librarians!!

Beautiful sweeping entrance leads you into the magic that is A Library. Helpful staff welcome you as you enter into the atrium. There is a coffee shop with food and a gift shop offering stationery, shirts, and other lovely little goodies. The children’s room is a delight. Plenty of space to play with separate restrooms and all kinds of toys and books. There’s lot of private study rooms and cozy corners to hole up and read or work.

The Downtown Columbus library is always the go to library for any resources you want to find or learn about, it's always very clean and quite for anyone needing peace of mind, focus time this is where to go.

Went here with my kids for the first time today. They loved the massive kid section. Lots to do to keep little ones entertained. Between the music activities, lego table, play shop, plus an area for the smaller kids.
