Owner replaced front and back brakes….$800…. 5 months later my back brakes were screeching!i called the owner to let him know my brakes were screeching loudly 5 months after work. He told me that I could have my car towed there 2 days later (Wednesday). On Wednesday morning, he told me he was sick and he didn’t know when he could take my car. I asked for Thursday and he wasn’t sure. He could not say when he could work on my car. Because I could not be without car for indefinite amount of time,I had it towed to Firestone. Firestone said the back brakes were NOT done! When I called him and said Firestone said there had not been work on back brakes, he told me that I should have brought it into him on Wednesday. Firestone also said there was no damage to my calipers. He refused to refund any part of my money. I reported the company to Better Business Bureau.I am rejecting this response because:

So trustworthy, down to earth, outright helpful. I couldn't recommend this place enough. Mike is so nice and is always willing to squeeze us in when an urgent issue comes up. Best perk is the office doggo to visit with when you're stressed about car issues.

TRASH! DO NOT GO HERE!! My sister went here in July and paid almost $900 for brake repair (front and back) and he never did the back brakes!! She discovered it when her back brakes went out (a few months after the initial repair) and took it to Firestone. Then when she brought this matter to his attention he took NO accountability and REFUSED to give her a refund for work that was never done. This is ripe for a lawsuit!! DO NOT GO HERE!! TRASH!!

Do not go to this company!!! I gave them $877.20 to fix front and back brakes 4 months ago. My back brakes started grinding and on Monday owner said I could bring car in on Wednesday. On Wednesday, he says bring on Thursday but not sure if I can get it back to you. I HAVE IT TOWED TO FIRESTONE TO LEARN THAT THE BACK BRAKES WERE NEVER REPAIRED. It was "metal on metal". He lied and denied....

Editing to add that the owner Mike reached out to make things right and was extremely apologetic about how things have been lately and assures me things will be back to normal very soon! I’m happy to continue doing business with Colvins Complete Auto Care!!!
I’ve been what you call a very loyal customer over the last year, spending nearly $4,000 with them to get my vehicle fixed after purchasing it August 2022. They, at first, provided 5+ star service. I loved them because they didn’t treat me any different than they would a male customer. They were also very knowledgeable, trustworthy, friendly and super reasonable with pricing as well as being very prompt and responsive about getting back to me with a quote while fixing and returning my vehicle back to me within a timely manner. Recently (the last few times I’ve taken my vehicle in), my experience as a customer has consisted of me having to call near the end of the business day to check on my vehicle because I hadn’t even received a quote when they always called me before noon before. The last time I went in, my vehicle was there for nearly a full 2 business days and wasn’t even touched or looked at to diagnose. Although, the owner Mike still has the overall friendly and trustworthy vibe to him, his business is now what I’d describe as over booked and understaffed to the point where they aren’t even able to take care of their most loyal customers who have spent thousands of dollars with them. My boyfriend, who is also a pretty loyal customer, has also taken his vehicle in recently for a brake and rotor replacement (he has a lifetime warranty on them through this shop), for them to have his vehicle for an entire business day and by the end of the day when we went to check on it and his car hadn’t even been moved from where we parked it at drop off when they opened. The explanation was that they hadn’t had the time to look at it yet. As sad as it makes me to have to look for another mechanic, I feel like I am left with no other option.

I took my car in to have the water pump and thermostat replaced. The type of car I have is difficult for many auto mechanics to deal with, so they choose not to and I don't blame them. I got parts for another shop to do the repairs, but they said they couldn't after I showed up. But I went to Colvins with the parts, and they replaced them quickly and saved me money doing so. The kind service, the expertise to handle difficult vehicles, the timeliness and the great cost has earned them another customer. I see why so many trust them with their vehicles.

My fiancee dropped my truck off early in the day and was told they were backed up and it would be a while before they could get to it. Understandable. However close to the end of rhe next business day as I rode by I noticed my truck hadn't moved yet. When I pulled in to ask why it hadn't been looked at, a totally unprofessional mechanic asked me what I was going to do. So I took my business elsewhere.
