The reason for the low review: the health department shut down the pool on the first day of our stay and they didn’t fix it for the whole stay (Thursday-Monday), the beds were super uncomfortable, and the breakfast was ok but the eggs were very soft (maybe they were frozen, idk) and the baked goods were kind of stale. From shift to shift, the staff didn’t seem to know what was going on. There was a sign about the pool being closed but second shift knew nothing about it and then first shift the next day also had no clue it was closed. The vending machines were also out of products. Also, the WiFi was horrible.

Well, nor what was expected... but consider the close locality to OSU and the price... you get what you pay for. Looked all over for TV REMOTE, NOWHERE to be found. Asked woman at front desk..she said she would ask housekeeping. Over an hour now... no remote. I was even entertained by the fly tape hanging over the coffee area. Nice touch! Only one night here...counting my blessing.Lesson learned...if being cheap, you get what you pay for in the end.By the way, if anyone finds the TV remote let me know!!Nearby activities: There is a pool...exercise area.Ot much else.Walkability: Yeah, right...walked to McDonald's ( because I was too lazy to drive anywhere else). Walked in, greeted with flies buzzing around..2 males asleep on the couches in the eating area.

I recently spent 3 nights at this Comfort Inn. I was a bit concerned by the location, but once inside everything was great. It's fairly standard, with a nicer-than-normal lobby. The room was spacious and clean. I had no problems while there.I did not take advantage of any of the hotels amenities outside of the room, so can't speak to those. It would be nice to see the locks updated so that key cards are no longer required, but that's a minor inconvenience and doesn't impact my rating. Also, I will add that this might not be the best option if attending an event at the Expo center. It's extremely close, but 17th Ave gets closed down for events which complicates the process of getting to the Expo center (unless you walk the approximately 1/2 mile). It was a breeze getting back to the hotel after the event, though.

We have stayed at this hotel for at least 10 yrs for Quarter Horse Congress…the hotel continues to decline. Moldy smell not clean… this year our car window was busted out along with 19 others! Yes 19 car windows busted! Asked the lady behind the desk for 2 towels to sit on because of glass on our seats… was told they had no extra towels…really?!!The money this hotel and the city of Columbus make from Congress and they can’t afford security?!! Without us who participate and support this event there will be no event! Do better Comfort Suites do better Columbus Ohio.. do better!Safety: Not a safe place to stay

Literally stay at ANY other Hotel in the area. Where to start? Perhaps with the dead bug in one of the beds in our room, and the actually MOLD in the pull out couch? Maybe I could say it had a lovely indoor pool? Expect it was also full of, you guessed it, dead bugs. The dresser drawers in the room were all busted. Couldn't use them at all, the take out menu they had was 4 years old. Yes, 4 years. Oh? Need extra towels, best run to the desk to collect the TWO they'll let you have and lord knows, they won't bring them to the room. This Hotel is in a lovely location however! Placed conveniently in between a highway and an airport so you can really enjoy the ambiance of the city! When you're outside, expect to be approached by some of the local people who need handouts....They do serve breakfast. If congealed eggs and stale Bagels are your thing, you're in for a treat! Upon check out we also noticed that 19. That's right. 19 Cars were broken into by way of having their windows smashed out! Whoo. So I can honestly say. It was an experience. And I hope to never experience it again.

This is the best two star hotel I've ever stayed in! Clean, friendly, good amenities such as an easy way to fill your water bottle. My only complaints - the beds are a bit soft, and the breakfast is poor quality. But hey, what should you expect for a two star rated hotel. Overall I was very impressed and will choose Comfort Suites again for an easy overnight.

Cost us over 300 for 2 nights, the floor which is carpeted was disgustingly sticky, my husband had bite marks on his legs as if we had bed bugs so beware!!! We will be washing everything when we get home and prey we dont bring them in our house. The breakfast was what they call standard for a free breakfast we wished we stayed so.ewhere else especially after finding bed bugs. Ive worked at a sleezy motel like this and know they wont compensate nothing so i didnt complain i just left, if i could give 0 stars i would.

I'll be the first to admit...after reading most of the recent reviews, I wasn't looking forward to staying. But let me tell you there is nothing to be afraid of here. Jo at the front desk AMAZING. I can't thank her enough for her hospitality. We didn't have to use the elevator but we saw it operate numerous times so that isn't an issue anymore. Breakfast Station, quite honestly, one of the best free breakfasts I've experienced at a hotel. Could the rooms use some updating? Sure. But we saw no bugs, room was clean, we really can't complain. I gave the location 3 stars only because it really just isn't the best neighborhood but we stayed because of a concert at the fair and I felt fine walking back to the hotel afterwards. The beds could use some work but I slept like a baby and I don't normally sleep well in hotels away from home....Walkability: Great spot to stay after a day at the state fair

Room: It is a old building, the room had a moldy smell like. The shower didn’t have enough pressure. The beds were clean.Price: It is affordable for what you are getting. Nothing fancy but worth for one or two nights stay.Parking: Free parking, which is great! Some of the hotels, especially in downtown Columbus does not offer free parking.Location: This is located about <10 mins driving distance from downtown Columbus.Staff: The front desk lady was really helpful. She was able to accommodate us for early check-in.Breakfast: Is the usual continental breakfast with bagels and waffles, some fruits, juice and coffee from the machines, some yogurts and cereal, as well as sausage and eggs. If you want to safe some money, this is a good option. Again, nothing fancy, if you’re traveling with kids, this could save you some money compared to eating breakfast outside.

What a joke. We spent $330 FOR ONE NIGHT. We had to ask for extra toiletries and they're all covered in slime. Our child wanted to sleep on the pull out bed and all they had was an extra set of sheets. No blanket. No pillows. The beds are uncomfortable. The pillows are useless. The elevator is out of service. Mary Jane is lingering in the hallway. The only redemptive quality is that the pool was open.Breakfast better be amazing. But at this rate, I'm pretty sure I know better.

Compared to some of the other similarily priced chain hotels I stayed at on a recent road trip (in which this was a part of), this Comfort Suites is stellar. Clean, affordable, and close to several places we wanted to go, a short uber ride from the rest. Good bed, good AC, decent water pressure, and a clean accessible indoor pool.

This was not my best choice for a hotel. It served its purpose for a two night stay. The room appeared clean but I could not tell if it had been Covid-19 proofed. The location is good if you need to be at the Ohio Expo Center or near I-71. There are very limited restaurant options. A McDonald's is only 5 minutes away but I don't really consider this a restaurant. The hotel overlooks I-71 which is both good and bad. Good for proximity to the highway but a lot of noise when you are trying to sleep. Breakfast is offered in the morning. I never like the hotel breakfast so chose to walk to an Italian bakery 10 minutes from the hotel. Price is comparable to similar hotel chains.
