I would give this nightmare of an establishment a negative 15 star rating if I could. After getting my rent raised AGAIN, I had to make 15 phone calls to get a 100% incompetent to running a business, Monica, on the phone. She was only helpful in the regard to take 10 dollars off of my “there’s nothing we can do to control the price” rent raise. I told her I was interested in buying myself time to move out of this trash pile. So took her up on the offer. Great.
I asked her what CubeSmart would do for me to verify the elevators that never work, would work if I came to move my stuff out, or hired movers to do so, as I am a DISABLED VETERAN, who cannot move an 8x10 unit up the stairs of her own volition. She said “all you need to do is call the store to verify the elevators are working” fine.
Today, two days later I arrive to the storage unit to discover the DOOR now doesn’t work.
HOW ARE PEOPLE SUPPOSED TO MOVE OUT OF YOUR TRASH ESTABLISHMENT WHEN NOTHING WORKS?
Quoted many times by every person I talked to below her in the chain, and her, said to me “use the stairs.” Today when I walked into the stair well (because dare I take the elevator that works today but is at the renters expense when it breaks. She dropped that knowledge on me in our phone call, user beware) to discover the smell and sight of human piss all over the stairwell.
You will continue to hear from me cube smart. You have the wrong gal.

Organized place, but the elevator was out of order the day we moved my things and the main reason I chose this business is because of the elevators. We had to move a bed and a mattress and a dresser up 2 flights of stairs. Not acceptable.

Freight elevator was not working. No sign on it to let customers know. Had to call the office and asked if they knew the freight elevator was down and they said yes. Talked to another customer and he said it happens frequently and at one point both elevators were down.

My unit is dark and appears to smaller than the unit I chose on the website. I visited the office about my concerns. Left my name and number for management a week ago but haven’t received a call back.

I live behind this disgusting business and I have done everything from asking the manager to do something about the nasty Rumpke dumpster that is a magnet to the un - housed, drug addicted individuals of Columbus. This business is a make - shift homeless shelter ever since Columbus shut down the YMCA, the homeless shelters, and many other resources that catered to the needy prior to Covid. I have reached out to the SID, the city attorney's office, and the management of CubeSmart and NOTHING ever changes. A picture is worth a thousand words.

Lisa was a pleasure to work with! This was my first storage unit so I had many questions that I needed clarification on. She was able to quickly find me a unit that met my needs and was super friendly throughout the process. Facilities were nicely kept up with.
