My family has been customers of DentalWorks-Polaris for over 15 years. Dr Jian is a very good dentist without doubt. She is honest and would not recommend or force patients for unnecessary procedures. However, their billing department is very difficult to deal with. I had a dental implant done which involves several procedures between March and Sept 2023. One of the final procedures was declined by my insurance company because the Explanation of Benefit shows this procedure is not applicable for dental implant. The EOB also states that I should owe NOTHING for this invalid procedure. DentalWorks-Polaris (local office) told me that they are obligated to honor EOB so I do not need to pay for this procedure. Therefore, at the end, everything else under this whole implant process was paid for except that the charge ($111) for this procedure is unpaid which is what the local office agreed. Since then (Sept 2023), I kept receiving bills every month from their corporate office asking me to pay for this procedure. The only contact number on the bills is the local office and, whenever I contacted the local office every month after receiving a new bill, the local office always told me to ignore the bill while their corporate office was still reviewing my account. I finally received a notice in Feb 2024 indicating that the corporate office would consider “next action” if I do not pay the balance (same amount as all the bills I received previously) within 10 days. I went to the local office again and they, as usual, told me to ignore the notice, not worry about the next action, and keep waiting for the result of the review. They even told me that it’s a nationwide issue for DentalWorks, so many of their customers have similar issues. I asked for a contact number so I could talk to corporate office directly and they said they do not have a phone number for me because they do not get to call the corporate office either, everything is done through their computer system. One month later (March 2024), I received my first letter from a debt collector (Transworld System Inc) asking me to pay for this procedure. I went to the local office and showed them the letter from TSI, the front desk lady told me this letter is, in fact, a different notice from DentalWorks and their system shows that my account is still being reviewed so I could ignore it and continue waiting for adjustment. I do not know how to make sense of this. Given that DentalWork-Polaris (local office) has no authority to make adjustment on my bill and the Corporate Office is not reachable for explanation. It has been a very frustrating experience. Please be aware!

Horrible company. Terrible unresponsive billing department and staff. They would keep forgetting to submit to insurance until we just paid out of pocket. They placed a filling without properly cleaning the cavity which resulted in an infection root canal for the same tooth.

I've been a dentalworks customer my entire life and enjoyed my experience at the Polaris office (other offices, not so much). However this new phone system is a nightmare! I just want to call the office to schedule an appointment but I'm automatically routed to a nationwide call center. The call center reps are trying their best but they have no idea what's going on. Absolutely horrid.

The staff here and the doctor really love what they do. They are courteous and kind. They explain everything they are doing and make sure you are comfortable.

Dont go to this place, i wish i had read reviews before going. This place is really a scam. They charge you after giving you $0 estimate. Not small amount but in $100s.I went there with 0 problems and now i have all the problems sensitivity, gum bleeding, cant eat anything cold even after 3 months now. Nobody cares for your pain. Nobody picks or reply to your calls. They refilled the cavities and my problem is still the same. They want me to come again,Sorry i am not letting anybody touch me teeth here... there is so much more to write..people go somewhere else.

The front desk is insanely difficult to reach for no reason — I sat on hold for 15 minutes one time and ended up driving into the office and talking with the front desk person while still on hold and there seemed to be nothing stopping them from picking up. I have since transferred dentists and when my new dentist reached out to obtain my x-rays they were told I had none on file when I just had them taken 6 months ago. What’s with that?!?! When I had gotten the x-rays I was told I had 6 cavities that needed filled (no conservative approach was taken for brushing more or anything, I was just told they all needed filled) and at this most recent dentist appointment elsewhere I was told everything was fine…

Love Dental Works. They work with me when I need to reschedule visits. They are very nice and helpful. They gave me a recommended plan. But through the process I changed my mind. No one was angry, they were able to change it. Definitely recommend!

THEY ARE A SCAM, GO ELSEWHERE!!!Once again, you failed to provide your customer with an accurate estimate!EVERY estimate we have ever received for a procedure by this office has been inaccurate and we have received a bill for a balance owed beyond what we were told, always for at least a few hundred dollars more. This is why my family started going to another dentist office a few years ago and we have not owed anything more than what they estimated every time!!! This billing office is a joke and very incompetent!Dr Jian is an Excellent Dentist and is the ONLY reason I came in for my procedure because she has worked on my bridges for over 15 years and does Amazing work. This office however is a SCAM and they always provide their customers with inaccurate estimates and always stick them with additional amounts due after the procedure. Again, our new dentist office has not underestimated anything for our family in the last few years but this office has done it every single time and will tell you "well, it was just an estimate"!Very difficult to get a hold of them, no answer and it automatically transfers you to an answering service who then says they are busy with other customers and they don't return calls!I Love Dr Jian, but unfortunately I will be having all of my work done elsewhere where they give accurate estimates, answer the phone, call you back etc.

IMPOSSIBLE TO GET THE OFFICE ON THE PHONE. I have called 5 times in the past two weeks about a bill I received (I have not had a visit to this practice since 2022!) When I call, I am always forwarded to the main customer service line, and the representative there tries to call the office and gets no response. I'm hoping that leaving a public review will get me a call back.

My experience with Dental Work - Polaris has been nothing short of infuriating. The front office's incompetence borders on malicious. The (614) area code in front of the phone number for Dental Work - Polaris is just for show. Every attempt to reach them resulted in automated transfers to a less than helpful national call center. Calls with the national call center either ended with futile attempts to reconnect to the Polaris office or abrupt disconnections. The maliciousness in their incompetence is on full display when it comes to billing. As other reviewers have noted there is little to no transparency and random bills will show up months after your visit. Any effort to get more information will be met with a brick wall.My experience has been a nightmare, and I hope others can avoid the same frustration. If you seek responsiveness, professionalism, transparency, and competence, this is not the dental office for you.
