I’ve booked dozens of cars all over the USA in the last 25 years but never had a problem with fees and management until this week when returning a rental! They asked my husband if anyone had smoke cigarettes in the car and he told them no! Fast forward we have almost a 400 charge for a cleaning fee and no one smokes cigarettes in our household! I’m furious and the manager said there is nothing she can do. On top of that I booked through a third party and it was supposed to be 72$ and it’s another charge for the car of 200+ “she said that will fall off” 🤷🏽♀️I’m definitely keeping an eye on it. And as soon as that cleaning fee isn’t pending anymore I will be disputing it with my bank. Just know we are a traveling family and I won’t be doing business with this place again!

I can't say enough about this location in Columbus, Ohio at John Glenn International airport!!! Easy process and very friendly staff!
I had left a few items in the vehicle upon return. I called just a few minutes later and received a call back within 20 mins. that they had my items!!!!!
I was very relieved and thankful for the quick response. I was able to drive back and retrieve the items.
So Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!!
Also, the Chevy Blazer was fantastic!!!! Beautiful car and well maintained!!!!
I also received a fantastic rate! And thank you for your partnership with T-Mobile!!
I will be a customer for every rental in the future! :)

Not worth it! Pay attention to your bill and ask a lot of questions. Was charged for frivolous items such as satellite radio when I was never explained these charges.
Tried to do the reasonable thing and call them the next day. Good luck trying to find a number or even to their corporate office. The number I finally found is an automated system that bounces you around in numerous directions it just finally cuts you off.

Rented their cheapest car "full size", got a clean, fairly new Camry with under 10k on the odometer. Return your vehicle full of gas or you will pay $10/gal.

I didn't even get past online check-in and their support numbers don't connect or work. I would rate them 0 stars if I could. I also would never recommend using this company for a rental car.

Nobody was there to check in the car when I returned it (it was only 8pm), nobody was there to even answer a question, got conflicting messages about what to do with the keys. Wasted about 30 minutes of my time. Then did not get a receipt until 24 hours later and they added on some mysterious extra charges. Seems like they use their own under-staffing problems to over-charge people for "late" returns

i recently rented a car from these crooks in Birmingham Alabama airport . We agreed on a price, including a $200 deposit. After I returned the rental and received my bill it was $200 more than agreed because of their nickeling and dining. I rented this vehicle for4 days and charged $619.09I will never rent from them again and for all future renters, BEWARE!!!

Flew into Atlanta airport for a family member’s wedding. Stood in line for 2 hours to get the car. The lines before and behind seemed to be never-ending; never less that 100 - 120 people in line. Lines for all the other car rental companies? Maybe 10 - 15 in line at any one time. Spoke to many airport employees who told us this was their “normal”; another traveler told us he stood in line for 4 hours. This is just not acceptable. If you don’t have the staff to move your customers through the process any longer, then don’t allow more rentals. A clear example of GREED on the part of Dollar Car Rental. We will never use this company again.

They are scammers charging fees claining damages to the vehicle when there aren't any. They fasilfy documents and provide photographs of another vehicle which they claim is the one you rented. They refused to provide higher up manager's phone number but thier email, which never gets returned. Please Please don't rent from them. You will be sorry.

I would give 0 stars if it was an option. My rental broke down on a busy 5 lane freeway in Orlando. I was refused a partial refund because they said they would give me a replacement but I would of had to of drove 2 hours for a new one. Who wants to do that after sitting broke down for hours at 11pm with a kid while on vacation?
