I had an eye exam with Dr. Bartholomew today and couldn’t be more pleased. He has a calming and friendly manner. The exam was very thorough. He took his time to make sure my prescription was correct and my eyes are healthy. The price of $55 is MORE than fair for the time taken and scope of the exam. I would have happily paid a bit more. Keep up the great work!

Dishonest business. I scheduled an appointment to update my prescription, and told them that I wear contacts and glasses. I asked them how much it would cost without submitting it to insurance and they said $55. I was charged $95 as they added a professional contact evaluation, without consulting or asking me (they at least could have included it in their quote). When I asked for a refund, they said they would have to remove my contact prescription since that is not included in an eye exam (it is everywhere else). If you wear contacts, go to literally any other eye doctor and they will give you a prescription after your eye exam. Would give zero stars if I could.Dr. B is polite, but could put forth more effort to represent his business honestly. I am sure he makes more than enough money without decieving patients about the cost of his services - there is no reason to be dishonest. Doctors should not sign patients up for services they did not ask for, especially if they cost more money. Very unprofessional.

I had a great experience with Dr. Bartholomew, the optometrist at Costco's optical clinic. His examination was thorough and professional and I appreciated his detailed explanations. He updated my prescription and my new glasses (it has been several months since then) worked great right off the bat. (This should practically be a given, but more than once in the past I've had eye doctors issue the wrong prescription for me.)
