My card was hacked through the PlayStation network First Merchant fixed all my needs promptly and properly. I STRONGLY recommend this for all your banking needs. Also, I usually would use the drive thru service but after my situation I needed to go inside and I'm so glad about it every employee that helped me was kind , courteous and truly professional. Love this bank!

Joe was very responsive to our needs and constantly made things happen for us, even on the weekends. He made the home buying process relatively easy and we will be using them for the next house purchase.

First Merchants just told me on the ohone that they do not know why there is $9,000 missing from my checking account. A positive $3700 turned into a negative $6400. And They do not KNOW why. But, they assure someone will call ... when they "figure it out". Completely unacceptable. Wow. Do not put your money in First Merchants folks... scary.

Whatever you do do not get a mortgage loan through this bank. From beginning to end they had horrible customer service. Their technology and online banking access is 10 years behind other institutions. Save yourself the hassle and time and go to Chase. I refinanced through them and it was flawless...not to mention the control I have through their App gives me peace of mind.

They have given our company great advise. If you are at a large bank consider switching to FM to talk to a human.

Donna was great to deal with. I didn't feel any type of way. But I always assure everyone that I'm a nice guy because I will joke around. To soften the awkwardness. She was good with it.

We were on the selling side of a mortgage loan through this bank. From our perspective, the process was disorganized and out of control. The closing date was repeatedly delayed right before the scheduled date for paperwork receipt followed by a huge surprise requirement for the buyer. There was very poor communication to us so we were repeatedly scrambling to reschedule the numerous moving parts on our end. It's hard to tell if the problem was apathy or incompetence, or both, but a very stressful experience here.
