I took my car in to diagnosis an issue and it was not disclosed to me until after I dropped my car off that it would be $200 for Germain to even look at my car. It went downhill from there and I expressed my concerns to the service manager who had no desire for customer satisfaction nor retention. I took my car to Midas the next day where they repaired my car for 1/2 the price and in 1/2 the time I was quoted by Germain. I would give Germain a zero if I could.

I'm not one to complain generally, about anything really, but me and my wife's recent experience with Germaine Ford was horrible and no one has offered anything other than generic apologies this entire time. I'm not even sure what I'm looking for at this point other than to hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. My wife and I purchased a 2014 GMC Terrain from Coleton on July 27th, 2023. We did our usual test drive, pulled it into a parking lot and checked all the features, looked under the hood, etc... The car made no odd noises and everything appeared fully functional in our brief time with the vehicle. Unfortunately, after driving it home and then to Meijer in Grove City the check engine light came on. We purchased the car for my wife to take out of town the next day for job training and she wasn't able to take it. I messaged Coleton and he told me to bring the car in first thing the next morning saying "I am sorry for the inconvenience, we will correct the situation." I was not able to get the next morning off work and the proper technician was not going to be available until Monday so I took the GMC in then. I had also noticed after being forced to drive it over the weekend (my wife had our other car out of town) that it made an odd squealing sound when turning the wheels, especially at freeway speeds. I reported that to Coleton as well when I dropped the car off. On Monday they had my car until midafternoon, and then sent me home with an invoice stating that the check engine light might possibly be a camshaft sensor and that I should take it to GMC if it happens again. As for the squealing when turning they noted that they were "unable to verify my concern." From this point we continued to drive the car because we assumed the technicians at Germain Ford knew what they were doing and would have alerted us if something was off with the car. Also thinking that maybe we just weren't used to the car yet. Fast forward about a week and a half and my wife and daughter are on the side of the road because the car was no longer able to be controlled and the tires had gotten so severely balded that there was no traction in the light rain. We had the car towed to Tuffy in Grove City. The vehicle had bad control arms, blown rear suspension, bad ball joints, and because of all this needed four tires replaced and aligned. That set us back $3000 for a car that we had just driven off the lot and was already "checked" by Germain Ford. From about the time of "service" at Germain Ford our salesman Coleton had become unresponsive. I had similar trouble getting in touch with anyone at Germain for awhile also. I work a lot and have a large family so there wasn't tons of opportunity to call, but when I did try over the next few days the phone would just ring and ring. Then Carfax prompted me to write a review for Germain Ford. I did, which prompted Service Manager John to contact me. He essentially offered a dry apology and promised to pass me on to the used car sales manager. The used car sales manager, of course, never contacted me either. Frankly for all the costs we've incurred and all the inconvenience, one star is too many. Avoid this place at all costs.

I called Germain Ford Quick Lane when my vehicle started giving me messages for service and Charles worked me in that day for The Works. Quality service and excellent customer service is found here!

Ok so I'll make this as simple as possible - I bought 4 new tires from Germain.... Also would like to mention that exactly zero people who work at Germain ever offered me the road hazard warranty that I have gotten every single time I've ever bought a new set of tires .... Well literally no more than 2 weeks after I got the tires - my driver side tire had leaked down to 26 PSI.... I put more air in it bc it was January and I thought maybe it was due to temperature changes. 3 weeks later it was back down to 27 PSI. So I make an appointment at Germain bc this seems to be a defect or installation issue and they inform me that I have a nail in my sidewall ...( I still cannot locate this nail and nobody ever showed me the nail either)... Update : THERE IS NO NAIL IN MY TIRE I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO MULTIPLE MECHANICS AND THERE IS NO NAIL IN MY SIDEWALL - GERMAIN HAS LIED TO ME AND TRIED TO SWINDLE ME INTO BUYING A NEW TIRE THAT I DONT NEED. And I'm addition to that, this all wouldn't be a super huge issue bc typically I would just get a new tire with the road hazard warranty .... But NOPE. They tell me I need to spend another $300 on a new tire after I just dropped $1200 on a new set of tires less than 2 months ago and THEY ARE LYING. This experience was absolutely atrocious and I'll just say that I do not plan on ever going back to Germain for any reason whether it be for service or sales. I refuse to spend my money on goods or services that are subpar. Again every other time I've ever bought tires I get a warranty...this is unacceptable and pathetic customer service. If I could leave zero stars I would !!

Oh boy, where do I even begin with Jordan? Let me tell you, this parts rep is a pocket-sized powerhouse of enthusiasm! Her blonde hair might be short, but her energy levels are through the roof. I had the pleasure of talking to Jordan at the store, and I swear I was laughing so hard, I almost forgot why I was there in the first place. She loves her job so much, it's infectious. Jordan has a way of making you feel like you're the most important customer in the world. She's like a mini tornado of positivity. If you ever need a pick-me-up, just head to the store and look for Jordan. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

took my car in to get looked at because i was having issues with my horn not working, my car door alarming open all the time. and the steering being off. i took it in on a monday for an appointment at 1:00. i gave them all my info, they asked when i wanted to pick up and i said if possible later that day but i had arrangements if not same day pick up. with what needed diagnosed, it wasn't until tuesday around 1:00 when i got a call stating what needed fixed. i have the ok on what i was ok with having done and submitted it. no call back on when it would be done so i called around 5:30 and they told me what needed fixed again and i told them i knew and already said what i wanted done. i asked when it would be ready and they didn't seem to have any idea. they said "maybe early day wednesday" so i had to go another day without my car. did not receive any calls/texts wednesday morning so i texted and asked when i could pick up. got a text saying i could pick up around 2:00. i work night shift so i was going to pick up right before going to work so i could sleep. got to the dealership at 6:00. they closed at 8:00. and they told me the shop was closed for the evening and i couldn't pick up my car. the person assisting me on my car failed to tell me they shut down that portion at 6:00. i stood and waited because i needed my car to go to work and they finally said they would bring it around. they couldn't find my car and made me search around the lot for it. they do not communicate well at all. i would probably not take my car back here. they fixed my problems, but it was expensive and i was out of a car for three days and had crappy communication.

I purchased my family's second Expedition from Germain at the end of August. Excellent experience! Alex worked hard to make sure I was satisfied and the vehicle had everything I wanted. My schedule was very busy and they arranged for delivery of the Expedition to me in Cincinnati as well. Great and smooth experience with Alex and the team at Germain!

I have been dealing with a problem in the pre collision alert. had it in 3 times at various dealers, when I moved to Dublin took it to Germain first time the could not get it to replicate. Second time i told them to fix it or take it back, they found the problem ordered the part, still did not fix it. Then they had to take the bumper off ( I had to pay for it, suddenly the problem is my fault( it has never worked properly) and I have to pay for it and a rental car they had my vehicle for 5 days. Ford you just lost a customer.

I took my car there for an oil change and to have a part ordered. They did the oil change and claim they ordered the part, but it never came or they just never called back. I called on a Friday, a month after my original appointment, and they say it never came and that they would try to have it in on Monday. It's been another three weeks and they still have not contacted me. The same thing happened when I needed a new part added 4 years ago and they never contacted me back. They are VERY, VERY unreliable when it comes to following up.

Customer service got greedy and lost my business. First this would have been only a 2 star review, but a star was earned by my salesman, who was quick to respond and courteous. The sales manager was almost courteous, but his joke about the salesman asking him to be nice to us, fell far flat. I had to remind the sales manager that the vehicle had gone through the Ford used vehicle quality control check and had a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty. Despite my wife being with me, sales manager forgot to add my wife's name to the title, which meant the the title did not match the sales agreement and Ohio BMV would not except it. My wife and I had to return and sign another title request delaying the registration transfer by two weeks. After much back and forth with Ford technical support, it was determined that my vehicle's 3G Telemetric Control Unit went down, as all 3G cell phones did, when the 3G cellular network was turned off. Germain service said they needed to charge me $160 (+taxes) to diagnose a problem that had already been diagnosed my Ford tech support. After the diagnosis they would have to order and wait two to three days for the part. This meant I either had to leave the vehicle there or bring the vehicle back a second time. Called two other Ford dealerships and both said this was a known issue documented by Ford Corporation, and the part could be ordered ahead of time and installed when I brought the vehicle in. So, I ordered the part, and will now just have to pay $150 (+taxes) labor fee at another Ford service center and the vehicle would be ready in about a half hour. Combine the rudeness of the service department, and their greediness, Germain Ford has lost all my business.
