Glen Echo Park is a peaceful escape surrounded by tall trees and nature. The trails are quiet, shaded, and perfect for a calm walk or light hike. It feels hidden away from the city, making it a relaxing place to recharge and enjoy fresh air.

Set deep in the valley lends a level of magicality to the area as trees, land, a bit of a waterfall obscure any view of the urban surroundings.
A deep walk through the park, to the West along the not so subtle desire paths Gates of hell, a sort of public art installation.

By far one of the most interesting and unexpected parks in that it is a strange juxtaposition of beautiful and ugly in a matter of minutes (or a few feet). On the one hand there are scenic trees and interesting ravine features mixed in with private houses right at the edge. And on the other hand there is the stench of stinky waters or you get to the end of a trail to land on train tracks from where you can see the boxed buildings, which then reminds you of the civilization you were probably trying to get away from. Plus you might find yourself on a natural dirt trail that gradually turns into a shady looking paved street with a broken concrete dead end block by concrete dividers. If you look up you will see beautiful trees and some with exposed roots but then also notice a concrete bridge (which is one of the streets probably Summit St.). On a different trail there is yet another bridge (next to the smelly waters) with cool graffiti.
I think the contrast is in the true spirit of Ohio, not to mention that this park is 10 minutes from downtown, but in part looks like some forest in the middle of nowhere.

This was an overall okay experience. The park itself is not huge. I did enjoy the trail which is paved. There seems to be a lot of trash along the creek bed. That said there is lots of floura to see in the spring so it is worth a look if you have the time.

Sort of a short walk in a ravine. Quiet and peaceful. Saw some birds and squirrels. Unfortunately a decent amount of garbage in the water.
