I reserved a rental car 2 weeks before a very important trip. And when I was there to pick up my rental car, they refused to let me pick it up because I don't have a full coverage car insurance( I do have insurance that covers liability)
This is an absurd policy that I've never seen anywhere when trying to rent a car. Are you saying I don't have the right to rent a car if I can't afford a full coverage insurance for my own car? Or what if someone doesn't own a car, are they not allowed to rent a car? They also should have mentioned it before I made my reservation.
Plus, the guy at front desk was not friendly at all, he asked me to calling my insurance company to check my coverage. And then he proceeded to taking another call and talking so loud while I'm talking to my insurance company.
Overall terrible experience.

Worst customer service and they scam people so be extra careful when returning the car because they will charge you detail fee even if the car is clean as in no dirt or trash anywhere

Probably just lost a lifetime costumer. I have rented from Hertz 3 times in the past year. This last time they charged me $150 cleaning fee. After the gentlemen told me I didn’t need to vacuum it because they will just clean it when I get back. They only expressed making sure I bring it back with a full tank. The lady on the phone had an attitude from the start because I thought she asked something and she rudely said “I didn’t say anything” when I was like oh I’m sorry go ahead. Then saying how disgusting and dirty I am. I had a small cadallic with 3 small children just trying to make ends meet until I could get a new car because my minivan was totaled. I was already having a rough time as it is. Everybody knows the stress working and dealing with insurance and being in and out of cars. The lady who just started working there 3 months ago needs to be taught some manners and not start yelling at me when I was just trying to understand the charge. I wasn’t arguing with her. Just wanted to understand.

Above & beyond! We had a wonderful experience with Hertz while renting a car when our car was totaled. After we returned our rental, they even called to let us know that we had left a pretty valuable set of earbuds in the car! Seriously great service!

I have used them 2x now and will NEVER go anywhere else for my rental car needs. They are friendly, it's clean, great customer service, and they try there best to accommodate when they can.

The person who seems to be in charge there is a scammer. He didnt do a walk around inspection before renting car to us .I asked him to do a walk around with me He said he said to go ahead and take the car he inspected and all was good.He never put anything down as damaged luckily my wife noticed a dent in the passenger side door when she was getting in. We informed the person and he said he would note it ,if we would have drove off who knows what he would have tried when we returned car. .So we rent it and return it and he tells me that I cracked his windshield and was going go to pay for it.I told him iI never cracked it and it had to be like that before we rented it. He does a half as s inspection and doesn't note the dent in door that we had to point out then he tries to turn in a claim to my insurance company .I will never use this Hertz or any other Hertz again. Beware this guy is a scammer. I also contacted Hertz Corporate Customer Service and informed them about this guy. They said they are not a Hertz Corporate business and are like a franchise and they would make sure they contact this location and would work for me the customer to get thisresolved.This guy shouldn't be allowed to do what he's doing .
