Johnny Velo Bikes is my "go to" bike shop! This is where I got my first road bike last year (2019), after a few decades of not riding a bike, and I'm glad I did! The owner, John, is the owner and cares deeply about the neighborhood and getting people back on bikes. Boggs, the head mechanic is sparky and awesome. He knows his stuff and has fixed my bikes time and time again. Without this shops support I don't think I would have taken to cycling as well as I have. The sell Bianchi, Giant, and Kona bikes. Trust them to put you on the bike that's right for you. They don't pressure and are more concerned about what you truly need in a bike. If you're a beginner or an expert, this little bike shop in Clintonville is a haven for cycling enthusiasts.

THESE PEOPLE ARE AMAZING! I went in, "thinking" about an electric bike (hadn't ridden since I was a kid, not in the best shape & knew Z·E·R·O about bikes...felt like a total idiot). But, George was WONDERFUL & instead of making me feel old & out of shape, he was encouraging & listened to what I wanted, he knew my budget, stuck to it & helped me find THEE PERFECT BIKE! As a matter of fact, it was such a good match for my needs that I logged over 750 miles in the first 2 months. After 2 more months, I got bored with riding on paved trails & roads, so I went back & told John & Joseph how I was feeling. They're also great listeners & 2 weeks later I was riding an electric mountain bike on the beautiful, woodsy trails of Ohio (I'm 70+ yrs old, so WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT I'd be riding a mountain bike?!! But, thanks to Johnny Velo's, that's EXACTLY what I'm doing)! And once again, I LOVE my RAMBLAS E-MTB!! If you're even THINKING about riding a bike, take a stroll into that store and talk to those folks. They KNOW what they're talking about, are the best listeners and they will take your budget into consideration and get you the perfect bike to meet all your needs! Every time I go in, they answer every stupid question & treat me like a Queen. They literally drop everything to make sure you are taken care of right away & the bike is working well (they take excellent care of "their" people). In this world, when you can get anything online, it's SO good to have a "local" specialty shop that you can go into, in case you have questions or problems (& the bikes are READY TO ROLL, when they go out the door). They also have an amazing selection of helmets and accessories. Anything (and everything) "B·I·K·E" is available through them (& if they don't have what you're looking for, they'll get it for you faster than you can say your name!!)...now my husband wants one...& we're headed for Johnny Velo's once again!!!

Many other bike shops to choose from that will service you better. One phone call they’ll say they can put your already purchased parts on for a 10$ bring your own parts fee, the next phone call they’ll tell you they can’t do it at all. Last guy on the phone seemed to take disrespect at the question, thinking his shop is prestigious in any way. Just put the parts on bub, you’re not special

John has a great bike shop. All the staff are awesome and always have answers for any questions i have. Store offers kids, teens, and adult bikes of all types and for any terrain. Parking can be difficult though, so be prepared to search a bit.

We came in last week for two lights for my son's bike Barry Gibb took great care of us. He recommended two lights that ended up working better than I anticipated which he installed. He also fixed my son's seat for a few bucks. Barry was very knowledgeable and friendly and the prices were reasonable it appears that Johnny takes good care of everybody from Amateur hour bikers all the way up to Pros. I give it 5 stars

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They made me feel comfortable, especially as I am new at biking. Great selection. The staff asked lot of questions to help me find perfect bike!
