Everything has been great so far as it relates to management and maintenance. I am enjoying my apartment, my service requests are taken care of in about two days. There are irresponsible dog owners living here but that's everywhere these days. Much respect to the team here showing up and getting whatever needs done - done and for answering all of my calls when I first moved in. I appreciate that!
As a fellow property management professional, I'm familiar with the developer of Liberty Place through a property in Philadelphia he developed and I had the pleasure of overseeing operations for with a different company who purchased the property. His properties are a beast to operate and maintain.
I decided to move here after being referred by a good friend and knowing the property is older but solid. For example: I barely have to use my heat, it doesn't even kick on most of the time and my apartment is 75 degrees inside. I have to crack windows to lower the temp in here! :)
So far so good, just hope folks start picking up after their dogs when the weather warms up!

Property itself is OK. Newly “renovated” units are still incomplete and the incompetent maintenance team continuously closes maintenance requests without finishing them. The lazy office staff can’t be bothered to do any part of their job and spend most of their days in their apartments as they live here as well.
On top of all that they have a submetering company for their utilized that charge insane rates leaving my average bill for 2 people well above $300 every month. The property managers have 0 interest in changing that.
Overall one of worst living experience I’ve had in any place I’ve rented. The only redeeming feature is the fact I can walk across the street to grocery shop.

Avoid this complex at all costs. It’s a prime example of poor management and glaring incompetence. The property is filthy, with trash piling up regularly, and maintenance requests are endlessly delayed. The management’s dismissive attitude adds insult to injury—they offer nothing but empty promises, dodging accountability like seasoned politicians.
Their responses to negative reviews are laughably predictable-generic, copy-paste replies that completely ignore the real problems. This lack of effort and responsibility shows how little they care about improvement. A complete overhaul of leadership is desperately needed, and the entire staff needs to be fired immediately.
For the rent they charge, you could easily find far better options. Moving here was a massive mistake, and I deeply regret it. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

I have lived here going on 2 years. I moved in right as new management started taking care of the property. I can't speak to what it was like before, but my experience with the new caretakers has been extremely pleasant. Leasing agents, especially Malik, are wonderful and informative and always there to help when needed. Dustin from the maintenance crew takes care of maintenance requests quickly and efficiently, and he always seems genuinely happy and eager to assist. Everyone I have interacted with has been lovely. The property itself has undergone many changes including installing lockers with passcodes for packages so you know your deliveries are safe if you can't get to them right away. The grounds are clean and well kept, and, as a pet friendly apartment, there are consequences for renters who don't take care of pet waste. They are continuously looking for ways to improve the property.
I have lived in MANY disappointing apartments in the past, but Liberty Place has made the decision to renew my lease an easy one. I don't plan on moving out anytime soon!

I have had headache after headache with this place. I moved here in August, and had to switch units within two weeks due to a foul odor. I had to email corporate after 6 weeks and 3 complaints due to not having heat since October. The building manager, Miss Dionne, has never reached out to rectify anything, and when I went to the office to discuss concerns, she berated me in front of her staff and claimed there was no issue. On top of other constant issues I've had and complaints I've seen, this place is not worth the price.

-2 stars because maintenance is understaffed and unreliable. Been living here for over a month and maintenance requests I put in on move-in day have been completely ignored. After following up numerous times maintenance finally calls and tells me to be home on a certain day because they cant do the job without me there. I am home all day and they never show up. Apparently they only have 4 maintenance staff for 400 apartments… Management needs to stop being cheap and hire more maintenance workers if this is true. +3 stars because I was lucky enough to get a unit with new appliances and the front office staff Jared and Malik are exceptionally nice and helpful.

I have lived here for about two weeks and now kind of regret moving in at all. The sink leaked the first night, lights in the kitchen do not work, the washer and dryer have issues, and a few days ago the refrigerator completely broke down, ruined some of my food, and what was supposed to be the replacement doesn't fit in the kitchen (they broke a light switch off the wall trying to get it in) and it has been in my dining room instead for four days.
The apartment also wasn't cleaned before we moved in and the whole place is covered with what I have to assume is grime from cigarettes from the previous tenant as there are cigarette butts on the balcony. It was so bad that the first few days I lived here the bottoms of my feet would turn black just from walking around barefoot. When we brought these things up, we were told that the painters should have cleaned it and that they weren't in charge of cleaning apartments anymore since it had been an issue with multiple tenants, but we were never offered any help and are still cleaning off grime ourselves two weeks later.
I've called multiple times but nothing has been done other than people saying they'll get back to us. They seem like nice people, but I do not feel safe in this place because of the grime and other issues.

Dionne has been exceptional to work with throughout the entire time I lived at Liberty Place from the time I moved in through the entire move out process.
Dionne is kind, caring, compassionate and she goes above and beyond no matter the situation.
Liberty Place is a great property with an exceptional management team! I highly recommend stopping in for a visit and taking a tour of the property.

A colleague recommended this apartment, it's close to the office and conveniently located downtown. Supermarkets and restaurants are within walking distance. Then, a very kind and patient agent helped me smoothly complete the signing process. Many thanks to Malik. I haven't moved in yet, but so far, I have a great impression of this apartment. My cat and I are moving in July, and I'll provide further feedback once we've settled in. Overall, very satisfied at the moment.

I don’t normally leave reviews. But the staff here have been so great to me, that I had to give 5 stars. I had some issues with not having a storage unit when moving in. After I brought it to the staff’s attention, they made it right as quickly as they could. Not only were they unbelievably kind, they made sure I got what I needed. My experience staying at liberty place so far has been really enjoyable and a lot of that is because of the leasing office and customer service I have received here. :)

I wanted to take the time to express my gratitude towards Phylicia Marrow and Dionne Dugan. They are two amazing people who helped me today when they did not have to. Long story short, my daughter lost her brand new air pod max pros after a couple of days we were able to track them on the find my phone app.
It led me to Liberty Place apartments where Phylicia, and Dionne drove me around on a golf cart, spent over an hour of their busy time tracking and playing detective trying to find these air pods. I am a stranger to them and they found it in their hearts to help me.
We ended up finding the resident who had the air pods who was very kind and gave them back.
To anyone new to the area, or looking to move please look no further than Liberty Place apartments.

Keith and Brad have been keeping me in the know for my fridge. With the new maintenance team, they resolved all of my issues and with the fridge problem, they're working with me currently on a solution as it's a special case.Coming from Easton and Dublin and Whitehall, I am happy to say that this has been the best apartment team I've had and one of the prettiest apartments.A couple of small cons - some of the tenants are lazy and had their animals do their business in the wrong spots. The leasing office made a statement and have been attempting to handle it, but a couple of cameras in those specific areas would be nice.And there is nearby construction. Been going on for months. It sucks honestly, but it's not the apartment team's fault.I plan on staying and perhaps upgrading to a 2 bedroom with my partner. One of your best options for downtown, especially near German Village.

The worst place you can ever find to live in Columbus! Spend your money and time somewhere else! I am having a horrible experience. Clogged sink and shower got fixed after I begged them to do so! Window is not sealed for more than two months, and no hot water!
Here is my update after the new management: The new management did nothing, they did not fix my window. This is normal here, they simply do not care about you! I am moving out!
