On a referral I used Milam's Tax service the past 3 years (2021, 2022, & 2023) things started off well, however I noticed that I did not get my state tax return in 2021, since it was minimal I didn't follow up. Then in 2022 it happened again and I called the office and left voice mails with no call back. For the 2023 tax year I tried doing the taxes myself, however due to previous years filing issues I ran into several obstacles so I had no choice but to see if Milam could help address the issues. They ultimately submitted a tax extension in my behalf on April 15th 2024, since that time I have called numerous times to understand where I stand with my taxes. No response, no call backs until May 6th 2024. Taxes for years 2021, 2022 would have to be refiled before 2023 could be submitted. It now been another month (June 5th 2024 as I type) without any type of follow up on where I stand. Very poor communication and customer service, I have filed a BBB complaint as well as complaints with the local news stations so that I can get some closure on this issue and move on to a tax service that will see to "all" of their customers.

We have had great experiences with Milan’s in the past! We have been unable to reach anyone since the beginning of June though - I wonder if they are still open?

You can not get a phone call back from anyone at this place let alone your own bookkeeper and they keep raising the price more every year. We are paying you and trusting you with our information and we would at least like to keep in contact. We had no problems when Glenna was there and now that she retired I don't know if we will be going back next year.

Called asking for basic information, since they don't have a website or email listed, just a phone number. The first lady was very nice and took down my information and said someone would call me back the next day to find out more information and give a better idea on pricing for tax services.Two weeks passed and no call. I give the benefit of the doubt, maybe just lost my contact info or took it down wrong. Called again, had a different lady on the phone. I didn't tell her that I called a few weeks ago and that never got a call back, I had let it go.So I asked about pricing and she said any where from $175 to $1000. I had thought she would go further and give the same basic niceties of last person who I spoke with. After she didn't say anything further, I returned with a question of "you can't tell me what the price would be until after you have done my taxes?"She replied with a curt yes and no further response, so I hung up. Wrote this review due to unprofessionalism since there was no follow up call and lack of professionalism on second call.If you don't want to deal with people asking basic information, list a website or email. When phone number is only way to contact a business, should at least get talking on the phone done right.

The people that run this place are amazing. The man that owns it is very reliable as well as his staff they are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to taxes and they get it done and they get it done right the first time. I would suggest this place to everyone especially if your taxes are complicated they know their stuff.

I have been going to Milam"s Bookkeeping for decades. Glenna, is incredible with her knowledge and really works hard for her clients. I can never imagine going any place else to have my complicated taxes done. I trust Glenna and I know many other happy customers who have gone to her and Milam's Bookkeeping. You Can't Go Wrong going to Miliam's and Glenna.
