Such a disappointing experience for a hospital that’s supposed to be one of the best in the country… took my toddler here cause she has been super sick, vomiting, hot to touch and hasn’t slept in 24 hours. Waited to be seen for them to turn me away after my toddler tested positive for Covid, no fluids or anything. After expressing my concern because she was barely taking anything and sleep deprived they just looked at me like I was insane for even taking her in. They looked me in the eye and said, here’s ibuprofen for her, try and get her to sleep(like I haven’t tried everything under the sun for the past 24 hours) and if she wasn’t better to bring her back(so what I can waste more money for you guys to turn us away again). Horrible customer service and even more horrible beside manner.

If I could give them a zero I would. This is the worse emergency room ever. They checked us in quick, they triaged us quick, but then the wait to get a room was freaking horrible. Your talking hours of just sitting and waiting.

The fact that most of the reviews are based on wait time kind of sucks. This is the BEST hospital for your child to go to when they need medical care. My 4-day-old was admitted with liver and respiratory failure & stayed at Nationwide for 2 months. Without their care he would not be here. This place knows what they are doing when it comes to your littles and the staff need more recognition than the single star reviews impatient people are leaving.

The wait is sooo long considering they’re the “emergency” department. My 3 month old had a fever and they said he looked fine and took us to a room after 3 hrs of waiting. They said someone would come to see us, we waited for an hour and decided to leave because we don’t have all the time of the world and have jobs. I ended up giving my son Tylenol and thankfully he got better.

Don't expect so much out of this place! Staff can careless about your child. Patients are just numbers to them! I wish I could give ZERO star.Find an alternative place if you are able to

Wait times are unreal. Brought my 3-year old son and after 4 hours we asked what wait times looked liked and were told that others in the room had been there for 6-7 hours and still not been seen. While staff was kind, the management/process of the ER is terrible. I found it odd that in the 4 hours we had been there only 2-3 patients had been called back. The rest of the times they called patient back, was immediately after they arrived to do vitals and then sent back to the waiting room. Many were called back to recheck vitals because of how long they had been there. We decided to leave at 3:30 am and opt for taking him to urgent care with OhioHealth when they opened in the morning. We’ll probably be seen earlier than if we had stayed.

We waited 7 hours in the waiting room before even seen by a dr. At 250 we get to a room where we waited until 430 one doctor came in looked at my son's finger and said I'll right back. An hour later another dr came in tool a picture of my sons finger and said let me call someone to look at it and we will back. So about 6 am an orthopedic dr came in and see us. We ended up getting his finger cut open to help with the infection. We ended up needing to stay for IV antibiotics. Inpatient floor was amazing when we got there at 9 am. Wouldn't recommend the ER but inpatients floor was amazing!

This ER is full of worthless , hourly employees , who don’t care if your kid is internally bleeding from a car accident. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy here, let alone bring my child.

Don't believe the review bombs about Nationwide. They took great of my son even during the COVID-19 pandemic.Yeah the wait times can be long but they took care of my child and my family so it was worth the wait.

Didn't think the check in process or getting into a room process was smooth. Little to no communication. No one gave time updates. Finally after hours was taken to a room that smelled of feces and still had wet seats and floors from being cleaned. Then no one checked on us for another hour. Patient care for us seemed lacking. One RX we were supposed to get was completely left off the scripts they ordered. No ability to view average wait time on website before going either. I would rather go try my luck at urgent care, or drive 2 hours to Akron Children's than go back for this experience.

Medical staff were great. Very concerned for my daughter’s well being. One of the doctors even went out of his way to retrieve the charger cord we left in the examination room.My daughter needed to stay a night and will tell you the food she was served was amazing. They made an uncomfortable time for my daughter feel safe, secured and cared for.

My 5 year old, very sick niece was forced to go for an IV drip. Four hours in no drip and she's sent home. They tortured my niece for hours with their lack of effort and wasted her very precious time. If your pediatrician recommends it DO NOT GO!
