This thrift store should be closed or taken over with new management!!! A lot of people shop at thrift stores because shopping at department stores is out of their budget Or they shop at thrift stores because they enjoy buying used items vs brand new products. This location barely has ANYTHING that is used it’s 85% all brand new stuff that didn’t sell at places like Kohls, Target etc. and they’re charging outrageous prices for the things they’re selling here. Shirts for $9.99 some I’ve seen even $12.99 (FOR T-SHIRTS). I was here about 2-3 wks ago and swore I’d never go back because they’re charging customers way over what they should be charging and it’s pure greed. I’m not sure who the manager or management is here but they need to get someone else to run this location. They had patio chairs, the hard plastic white patio chairs that almost everyone has had or does have currently on their porch priced at 24.99$ and these were used that they were given for free!!! They had a bunch of electronics that were all donated to them from the community and I couldn’t believe what they were priced at, there was a electric calculator for $29.99, they had a nightstand (this was a brand new item) priced at $49.99. This place really took all of the good and fun out of what it is shopping at a thrift store, way to go!

I went to this location with my mother and I was disappointed. There were only a couple of the tags of the day on the floor and they were either ripped, stained or badly conditioned. The moment we walked in, it had a bad smell throughout the store. The workers were very rude and when it was time to check out, my mother asked the woman at the counter if she was open. Ignored us while putting stuff in the glass cases behind the register, 2 minutes is when she acknowledged us. I understand businesses need to make money unfortunately this location is very pricey. I know some things are good brands and good condition, however it is a second hand store. I see thrift stores for people who are low income or just cant pay full price. This place is for charity and it feels like they are ripping off the community to get their profits.

Used to absolutely love this place! It still has its good days.. one thing I can tell you I do love about this place is they have a huge selection of bigger men's shirts and pants. They have extra small all the way up to I've seen 4X. Also in general some awesome clothing. Sometimes they know it's awesome and they charge a lot higher for it, but there are instances where you get really nice things for pretty cheap.
My biggest dislike about this store is that it's now turned into more of an Ollie's with the type of things they sell like discounted, discontinued, liquidated items from other stores and more often than not it's junk. But to be fair I've only had one bad encounter there with one of the staff members the rest have been completely amazing.
The last thing I'll say about it is now you have to get a key from the front or whoever has it wherever they have it, in order to use the restroom. I do get why, but it is an inconvenience.

I went to this Great Southern Ohio thrift store today and was treated really bad they had a brown ticket on a pair of shoes and the word yellow was on when I went to check out they refused to sell me the shoes which was one of the colors brown for half off and they would not sell me the shoes how dirty to me that is false advertising it will be a long time before I ever go in that store again it will be another year before that get my business and the manager was rude and she also stop a woman at the door and checked her bag in front of the whole line of customers I know the lady must have really been embarrassed shop at the Ohio thrift at Great Southern at your own risk

I wasn’t impressed. I agree with some other reviewers (Uncle Jordie, for instance) that there are more new items than second hand, which is not a good thing.
Not only we’re prices high, but there was a lot of new, low quality items. The store is large, the parking was easy.
I won’t be returning. This may be the cup of tea for others, but when I am thrifting I am generally looking for second hand items with lower price tags. If I wanted new I would go elsewhere.
One highlight: lots of items for children.

I rarely even post reviews but coming from someone that’s been thrifting for 20+ years reaching fromTX to FL to CA to CO and every in between and this location was not only the first thrift store that I was unable to find even one item/garment that I wanted to purchase and during hours almost making me eventually undeliverable then almost forced myself to spend extra time that there had to be something I wanted and looked and looked and all other popular thrift stores are all TRUE donated and never know what to expect but rather this place is around 80% of new lower quality clothes apparently looking like they came from those Amazon bins and sure enough there was an abundance of “Amazon brand” basic clothes and Its the day after being there so I’m not extra annoyed and so even the other 20% was brands that were so low quality like Reebok and Fila and even worse so I’m not going to waste mine or your time just understand that I can assure you from looking through every item I saw that don’t even go there please and I you do you’ll understand quickly. 1 star for sure

This used to be an amazing place for deals but recently they've joined the greedy fake inflation bandwagon. Cannot recommend anymore.

I've been taking my special needs son to this location for most of his life. Today around 6 p.m. 11/4/23. The mgrs come to me and tell me that he MUST stay with me or else, though Zach is an adult. I've never been so insulted in all my life, it was clear that they had zero respect for those with special needs. A father son trip to the city ruined by the mgt of this store.
