I paid $90 per night, and I was a little nervous that I would be staying in a dive. Nothing could be further from the truth. The rooms in the Olentangy Motor Inn were renovated in 2023. While it is not an elegant hotel, it was an excellent place to stay. The rooms are comfortable. The shower was particularly impressive: adjustable water pressure that could be made high and plenty of hot water. The staff was excellent. I received two texts from management over my four night stay asking about my experience and whether I needed anything. They were very responsive and friendly. This motel is a short drive (about 6 minutes) from the heart of OSU.
The only odd thing was that the office is not labeled as such. You check in at the coffee shop. The hotel desk clerks are also the baristas! I wandered around the building before I entered the coffee shop to ask for guidance.
There is a train track that runs immediately behind the motel. My room was about five from the end and I could hear the train from my room. This did not bother me. Other than the engines, the trains were not very loud. I only noticed them during the day. There are several other hotels in the area and the tracks are close to those hotels too.

If you’d like to pay the rate of a Hilton to stay in a Motel 6, stay here. The room wasn’t clean, men were smoking weed/cigarettes outside my room while drinking beer (which the hostess noted was a regular occurrence at this 100% no smoking allowed hotel). They watched me walk to and from my car with my luggage (which as a solo female traveler is terrifying). Checked in and out in the same day. I had to speak with the manager to get a refund, unfortunately she’s never at work to process that so you’re not getting your money back either. Only redeeming quality of this falsely advertised motel is the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

Slightly tricky to find lovby as it is also a coffee shop attached. Room clean and fridge. All kinds of places nearby from bars to stores.

Came up to Columbus from Cincinnati for my daughter’s graduation and the room was dirty. I used the shower to help release wrinkles from her gown and wiped the floor for it to be black. I moved the tray on the sink and it was filthy behind it, they tried to charge me a smoking fee and we don’t smoke. Coffee stains on the night stand, the creamer they left us for coffee was spoiled and chunky, ruined my coffee. I do not recommend..0/10…

Non smoking rooms but I can still smell cigarettes inside the room. Also says they have a steamer on their website but they actually don’t.

The room was very clean, shower hot, AC cold. Quiet, safe and convenient location. Dorm fridge, microwave, flat screen tv. Absolutely no complaints!

We were charged $250 for an“indication of smoking” in room. We DID NOT smoke in room, nor are we smokers. I told manager that we could smell marijuana and then cigarette smoke coming through bathroom vent. She just kept repeating “there was indication of smoke”. There are obviously ventilation issues and I wonder how many others have been scammed with this fraudulent charge. We have already filed a complaint with BBB, and contested charge with our credit card company.

My son and I stayed here during a family emergency. We were screamed at by the front desk guy, and he kept repeating check out was at noon the next day. While I was in the shower the the front desk guy comes banging on the door, my son opens the door and the front desk guy screams at my son that we had to be out at 10am and makes a racially charged remark as he walked away.

this hotel had so many bugs. it honestly was scary. also there is a train track that is very loud and disrespectful. i was honestly scared to be in the room let alone sleep there. we had to leave because of how disgusting the room was. would never come back and don't bring anyone you care about here

this place is okay at the most for a couple of hours. once the bugs come out this place is a total game changer. stayed in the room for 3 hour tops and i feel like i have been taken over by bugs. a bunch of cockroaches on the floor and probably more mysterious bugs. stay here if you don't want to see the future.

So we are here today on 9-18-22 for the Post Malone concert. Our check in time is 3pm, we get here at 3pm they tell us we need to come back in 15 minutes so we get here at 3:15 JUST LIKE THEY SAID!!!! And they still say room isn't available but yet they took the money right out of the account. But front office is saying no refunds contact management that doesn't even answers. DO NOT COME TO THIS HOTEL EVER!!!! PLEASE AND I MEAN PLEASE DONT COME HERE AND SPEND YOUR MONEY!!!

The one star rating is for the room. It was clean. Check out is 11AM but someone pounded on the door at 1030. The man at the desk double charged my card when the room was already paid for through Hotels.com. He insisted on arguing that hotels.com isn't pre-pay even though I showed him the receipt and also my banking where there were two charges. He said he credited it back but it hasn't shown up yet so we will see. It was a very disappointing ending and the severe lack of customer service will cause me to never return. There are plenty of nice hotels near the campus so don't waste your money here.
