Not a horrible place, but not the best experience. The service was more expensive than it should have been according to my research on average prices for the repair I had done. Mandatory diagnostics run, and the fee for it isn't waived when you decide to fix the problem with them.
For my specific issue, figuring out the breakdown of the pricing was difficult. When they finished, they left my car unlocked out front with the engine running, meaning that anyone could have stolen it.
No shuttle or transportation options, and not very qualified for hybrid vehicles.
Good customer service though! Quick to answer the phone and kind over the phone!
Overall not a horrible experience, but DEFINITELY NOT great. It is pricey, especially for the service you get. Leaving my car outside unlocked with the engine running is what knocked this rating down to two stars instead of three.

Went there a few times for some basic stuff. Then my son had some significant transmission issues with his car. The repair took longer than they said. Then a few weeks later transmission failed on highway and it almost caught fire. Didn't really tie the two things together until recently. Being a sucker for punishment, I took another vehicle there. Needed significant work and of course took way longer than quoted. I recently took the car elsewhere and they told me some bolts were missing from the steering assembly! There are plenty of other options locally so do your due diligence.

Stiffed me on repairs for a light switch on a 1975 Mercury Marquise which right to this day is still not working correctly. Was told they are not working on older car any more but drive by every day and see older car in work bay being.worked on. Terrible work and service

Will never give this place any business again. If I could give zero stars I would. Paid over $2000 for a job that was quoted at $1600. And I left with two completely new problems un related to the first. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Prices are outrageous, customer service is terrible with the exception of the sweet lady at the counter. And the quality of work is awful.

0/10 do not recommend. The guy Nick was very rude, mean, and attacked my personal appearance. I paid over 2k, for a job to be done after being quoted about 1600. Then the job snowballed into other things like my air not working. I had to wait over 2 weeks to have the look at my car again for them to just ask for more money for something they messed up by not properly reconnecting my air conditioner. 0/10, there are much better shops available with better customer service, please save your money and time.

Son experienced a busted tire while out shopping. He needed a replacement tire. Using the AAA mobile this place was recommended possibly due to the proximity of his breakdown. Pettys Auto did not have a tire on-site so they had to procure one. Car was left at the establishment for a day while they located a tire.
The replacement was affordable enough about the average cost of a decent treaded tire. Cost of repair was decent and in the ballpark of what I was thinking it would cost.
Outside waiting a day for a replacement tire; Pettys did right by us. I would use this establishment again.

I have to say I am impressed. They did everything that I needed and asked. Then to top it off, I received a letter making sure my van was okay. I will definitely use them again. I've been going to Petty's for years, and my Mother before me. I have always had exemplary service from them. Between my family and I we've taken more than 10 cars there over the course of 30 years. The service writer is honest, compassionate, and professional and the mechanics are trustworthy and do fantastic work. I have never experienced a problem with Petty's, it's lots, or it's people. I hope my son and his family take their cars there when his time comes.Thanks, Petty's!!

This shop attempted to charge me $160 to change a $30 headlight. I know mechanics overcharge women but this is horrific
