Absolute incompetence. I was a long-time customer of Pottery Barn but never again! I ordered something online to be shipped to the store only to realize it was going to take 3 weeks and with a shipping fee. I called customer service to cancel and was told I had to call the store. I called the store to cancel and was put on hold for 20 minutes and juggled around between three different people. I received a call later saying I had to call back to cancel it only after being notified it was at the store. A store like this should go out of business.

I made a call to the Easton Pottery Barn store in Columbus at 6.18 pm this afternoon (May 19th 2025) to politely ask whether I had to go through the front door of the store to return a piece of furniture that I had previously ordered there and had to have exchanged due to some defects. The employee who picked up the phone was incredibly rude for absolutely no reason, the call maybe lasted two minutes but it bothered her apparently and after I even apologized for disturbing her because she sounded pissed she hung up on me. Maybe pick a different store if you can’t just order online, most of the employee in the store are really nice but I would hate having to deal with her in person.

Pottery barn sold me three manor outdoor glass sconces, the word “outdoor” is in the product title. We paid money to install the lights and they subsequently caught fire. It was due to the fact that the lights were not designed to be outside and exposed to water, the fine print addressed they could be under a covered patio, which is not the definition of an outdoor light. Pottery barn refused to refund the money for the lights, even though they put my house and my family at risk for their poor product design. I am appalled at this level of customer service. They have lost a customer for life.

Pottery Barn is a scam. They charge your card for the full amount, tell you a quick delivery date range. They then delay everything by months, accruing interest on your thousands of dollars. It’s a scam.
I ordered a couch, bedding, mattress and a bedroom set on April 6, 2024 in the store. It was set to be delivered between April 17 and May 1. The bedding arrived right away, great. Everything else was delayed. Tracking numbers stopped working. My order confirmation link stopped working. The only way I could find out information was to call.
Pottery Barn sets it so everything has to be delivered together so when the couch was delayed, until the end of May the first time, I called and asked for the mattress and bed frame to be delivered separately. We didn’t have a place to sleep other than an air mattress. They agreed. The bed frame finally arrived broken and covered in a gross mold (photos). They wanted to leave the headboard at our house and then return (in three weeks!) with a new bed frame. I asked them to take the headboard — you can’t return an item if part of it is left at your house. Scam.
After hours on the phone with customer service, we keep the mattress and cancel the bedroom set (bed, nightstands, dressers). The couch is apparently “custom” which no one told us so it can’t be cancelled. The tracking number for it still doesn’t work so I called for an update and they just told me today JUNE 26 as an estimated delivery. They charged my card April 6…
We bought a new home and, after decades of IKEA and Target furniture, were excited to finally buy what we thought was quality furniture that would last us 50 years. We made a big investment (for us) and it just ended up being a big mistake. Things shouldn’t be arriving damaged and covered in mold, especially at that price. The delivery drivers were used to this set up. They knew exactly what they had (after they had already moved in the headboard and mattress). This company does not care if you actually get your furniture. They also completely block off your street and have to wait until it’s resolved with customer service, upsetting neighbors. It also said someone would call me in 5 minutes when I submitted the complaint. More than an hour goes by, with the huge truck blocking in my new neighbors, and no one calls so I finally do.
Pottery Barn is a complete scam. It would be one thing if you paid a deposit or if they didn’t charge your card until it’s ready for delivery but this? They charged my card and then just keep pushing back the delivery date (months!) accruing interest on our money without ever delivering usable products. Scam.
We canceled everything (except for the couch arriving end of June now because we can’t??). We then went to Havertys. Our Havertys furniture is arriving in a week from the order date, it was less expensive and the tracking number actually works. Havertys is a furniture store. Pottery Barn is an expensive scam.
Do not shop at Pottery Barn. We’ve wasted so much time and energy here and still wont have a place to sit until the end of June (assuming it doesn’t also arrive covered in mold)?? SCAM.

Not sure what’s going on with service at Easton but every time I come to this Pottery Barn *the employees are friendly and welcoming* vs the borderline hostile and weird attitudes I’ve gotten at similar stores.

I tend to have better luck at Pottery Barn Teen & Pottery Barn Kids, but they were not available diversions here. Still, we're on the cusp of fall, so I was hoping things might creep in that would appeal to my more youthful sense of style. I remembered them having Peanuts themed merchandise on offer within the last couple years (Covid has made specifics a blur) & I was hopeful that they might be back in stock this year. No such luck.

I had Pottery Barn do all the design work for a new condo. I ordered almost everything recommended for a total of over $40k. I received no thank you. I feel no gratitude from them. In return they will get no loyalty from me.Now I just hope that PB's products and delivery services are good. Maybe I can upgrade my rating at the end.

went into easton Town center location and wasn't even spoke to, saw everyone else being helped and have never experienced this at any other location that I've gone into and purchased from. Hate that the Tuttle location closed they were always great to me
