Extremely dishonest and misleading experience. Proceed with caution.
I’m writing this review to save someone else from the experience I had working with the GM at Valley Ford. Over the course of this deal, I was lied to multiple times by my sales representative, the sales manager, and the general manager. I have never felt so disrespected in a business transaction.
This started when I contacted Valley Ford to purchase a brand new truck advertised on their website for $46,900. When I arrived in person, the price was suddenly $47,650. I was told the website “must not be up to date.”
During negotiations, I explained that the exact same truck was listed for over $1,000 less at several other Columbus dealers. The sales manager explicitly told me those dealers advertise low prices and later remove rebates, then said, “I promise we don’t do that here.”
Minutes later, pricing was presented at $48,900, exactly $2,000 higher than the website price. I was then told the truck “didn’t qualify for a rebate.” This was the exact tactic I was promised they do not use.
Next, I asked to wait one day to sign due to a new Ford incentive starting the following morning. The sales manager told me it did not qualify. Shortly after, the GM walked in and told me he could save me $500 with a new incentive if I waited. I had written proof the incentive was $1,000, which he acknowledged. At that point, it was clear no one at Valley Ford was being truthful.
When paperwork was being prepared, I briefly stepped out. During that time, my sales rep attempted to sell my wife a protection package I had already declined four times, without me present. Very disrepectful.
I then test drove the truck for the first time and discovered it had 3,335 miles on it and was dirty. The truck had been marketed and documented the entire time as having 6 miles. All paperwork reflected this. Another misrepresentation.
The next day was just as chaotic. Despite being told financing, delivery, and a bedliner were scheduled, I heard nothing until late morning. When I called the finance department, I was told they had no record of me or the deal. Financing documents were later sent with incorrect names and information, causing more delays.
The truck was finally delivered that evening. It arrived with 3,584.6 miles — nearly 250 miles more than when I test drove it.The Sales rep apologized for the lack of communication and said he was busy today picking up a truck from Huron for another customer. The round-trip distance between Valley Ford Columbus and Valley Ford Huron is approximately 242 miles, proving my truck was driven by an employee after the deal was finalized, without disclosure or consent.
To top it off, the iPad promised with the purchase was never provided.
I like the truck and am grateful to have it, but the dishonesty, blatant lies, and lack of respect throughout this process were unacceptable. If you value clear communication and ethical business practices, I strongly recommend taking your business anywhere but here.

Posting for my boyfriend. I’m not impressed with the male finance manager at Valley Ford. I started my car deal on Saturday for a new 2025 Ford Mustang and gave them the payoff amount for my current car. I ended up purchasing the new Mustang and was extremely satisfied with my sales representative, Donna.
However, on Monday I received a call saying the payoff was higher than expected and that I needed to pay the extra amount — as if I hadn’t just purchased a $45,000 car and added extra packages. When I explained this to the
Finance manager, he responded with a foul attitude he didn’t even say hello or asked how I was doing when I picked up the call as well.. I wouldn’t have minded paying the difference if it weren’t for his negative customer service. Because of this experience, I will probably not purchase my next vehicle from them.

Dominic Davis did a great job. Show me good vehicles, even his manager’s vehicle he was willing to sell to me for a good deal. His manager did not like that. He looked at me, but he didn’t care. He was willing to make a deal at any possible rate.

I have mixed feelings about this place.
My wife and I have both had positive experiences buying vehicles here.
However, my last experience with the service department has me feeling like should not return there for future service.
This past August, I brought in my 2018 Ford Explorer to have Rear Differential Seals put on. This was covered under warranty. My car was there a week as the technician experienced a number of difficulties that even included my exhaust needing replaced. I was actually charged for this, but after reading the tech's notes, I realized that the exhaust needed replaced because the manual he was following poorly instructed him on the repair! A wheel bearing also need replaced among other parts. I talked to the service manager and I was refunded my money.
So if you get service there, for sure read the notes with your check out packet!
Now, for two months, it seemed like my Explorer was not riding as smooth as it was. After a terrible drive on a rainy day where I had to drive 50mph in the right lane on I71, I realized my 1 year old rear tires were totally bald! I took my Explorer to my mechanic who said that absolutely should not be and that my alignment was SIGNIFICANTLY out of wack. I was curious to see if an alignment check was done after all of my work at Valley.....and this is where I am really iffy with them now. After multiple emails and calls, I HAVE RECEIVED NO RESPONSE.
I would like to think that they would at least like to follow up considering the major safety concern. Although I have no way of proving my vehicle was out of alignment because of that service, it is certainly a good possibility considering all of the problems the tech had installing the seals.
So that's a long way of saying SALES - good. SERVICE - do not assume everything is being handled correctly.

IF I COULD GIVE A NEGATIVE STAR I WOULD. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽
I am typing this for my husband.
I have been looking at this nice truck since yesterday and have been in talks since about purchasing it. After finding out more information on the truck me and my wife decided to send over an application for it this morning. After I sent over the app my wife called and was sent over to sales rep Christian, I was then send to voicemail. Called again after a hour and a man named Luke answered and said to give him a minute and minutes turned to hours I waited and waited 2 hours plus for a call back. Just to tell me they sold the truck that morning. Overall very un professional and obvious only cared about getting there commission. Would never recommend. Also very lazy on there end and seems like they ain’t want to work with us at all.

Just had my Ford Bronco in service for a slow tire leak. I was told from a local tire business that there was not a leak. They replaced the valve stem and added a tire bead.
I went to Valley Ford Columbus. The service adviser Susan Adkins was very professional and courteous. Within a few minutes the tech had found the tire leak. They had the tire plugged and completed with the hour. Great service!
