I had lost my golden doodle a few years ago and had her cremated at this funeral home. Her cremains were put in a coffee can type of vessel so I got the teddy bear to put cremains in. I didn’t have the heart to do it myself and no one looked at the cremains. I recently finally have the heart to look at them and I am so disgusted. So many bones left! It’s horrible so who would want to ever trust them with a loved one? It’s abhorrent!

Buyer beware. A funeral director who no showed for the service. Flowers we paid for "forgot to be ordered". paid for a sound system to stream our well thought out play list... but wouldn't work. no help from anyone. An employee sleeping outside the open door during the service and snoring and hacking audibly. I didn't want to close the doors and discourage latecomers. STILL don't have death certificates after being promised weeks ago. Poor to no communication and then just GHOSTED me day of the service. Inexcusable. Maybe they thought they could take advantage of my grief and I wouldn't notice.

Rutherford Funeral Home gave my family the help it needed to create a cost effective and fulfilling service. The locations to choose from gave me the option to price point how I wanted to afford the costs.

This may be a very good funeral home in its on-site services. But they produced a very horrible experience for those of us invited to participate in the video streaming of a funeral service. A large gathering of family and friends went online for a funeral service from the funeral home that the home announced in the obituary. But the service was muted and so there was no audio for any part of the service. Several of us contacted the home asking the home to unmute the service or otherwise help, but they would not stop the service or remedy the situation (it could have been fixed as simply as funeral home staff or someone else taking a laptop or phone and entering the service). And then, absent being able to hear the service, those of us online created our own experience of remembering the deceased, only to have two Zoom "bombers" enter the site and take over the screen with horrible images and words that left us sick. The funeral home had announced the service on Zoom and included a password in its public announcement, something that should never have occurred (malicious individuals took over sacred gatherings such as funerals in the earliest days of the pandemic, with the lesson being to never post a password, but the funeral home did, learning nothing from past experiences). I hope Rutherford can somehow learn.

Both of my parents funerals were held here 10 years apart. 1993 and 2003. They were very kind, compassionate, and understanding throughout. I would recommend them.

We had our little Miz Kittie taken care of here. They were absolutely fantastic. Kind, caring, concerned and wonderful listeners. She died in June of 2014. Our cat BabyBoy has Cancer. Vet says 1-2 months at the most. I am definitely calling them.

Rutherford Funeral Home @ Maynard and High St.We people had several people at this funeral home. I want to send a special thanks to Scott Zinn. He guides you through this the whole way. He don't only take care of the deceased but he gets to know and treat you like family. If there is something you don't know or understand. He will explain it step by step until you do. Thank you Scott for all you did for me and my family.Love you and God Bless you and yours.Jerry and Donna Davis
