I LOVE THIS STORE!! I have only shopped at the King Avenue location. It is always stocked with so many different varieties of perennials and annuals. They also have beautiful pots of all shapes and sizes. House plants and decorative items as well.
They have plenty of pre made and stunning flower pots if you just want to buy something lovely and sit it in your porch or patio. Easy peasey!
This visit, I was buying for my front porch and front steps for Fall mums, cornstalks, pumpkins and mini and giant, fancy squash.
Let me just tell you… SO HAPPY! What a selection!
We’ve had these for 3 weeks and look how fresh, vibrant and healthy it all still looks. Some mums haven’t even opened up all the way yet.
We bought two mumbos (3 color mix) and they are so gorgeous.
You will not ever be disappointed shopping here and they are always having great sales and I also follow them over on IG.

This is a beautiful store with great variety and a good reputation so I was surprised when a bag of soil I bought was full of flying black bugs. These things happen so I went back to see if they would exchange the potting soil for an uninfected bag. No. And I was told that because I’d opened it they would not do so. "But I didn't find out it was infected until I opened it." Then I had to buy insect control for the plant I'd accidentally infected with their soil. Very disappointed. Photo of my plant in quarantine. All my other plants are cuttings!

Anna, the cashier-slash-sales rep, answered all of my questions with kindness and exceptional customer service. She was sweet, attentive, and truly a pleasure to interact with. Jessica, on the other hand, was rude and abrupt.
I had one last question before checking out. It was Sunday, 6 p.m. I had entered around 5:45 p.m. to get a last-minute plant and maybe an accessory or two. At 6 p.m., when I went to ask my question, Jessica abruptly stopped me and said, "We are closed," essentially kicking me out.
Anna stepped in and assured me, saying, "No, it's okay, I can take care of you." This scenario perfectly illustrated poor leadership, management, and customer service. Despite this, Anna exemplified what Jessica should embody as a manager and leader of her store.
As someone who leads a team and manages an operation daily, I was deeply disappointed. It was disheartening to witness and left me at a loss for words. Having spent over $2,000 at the Upper Arlington location just 2 weeks ago, this treatment at the Grandview location was shocking.
A big shout out to Anna, who deserves not only recognition but a raise. She is the sole reason I completed my purchase and the only reason I would consider returning to this location.

Love, Love all the improvements at this Straders in Grandview!. The employees are super helpful and knowledgeable. It's a little store that packs a big punch with tons of indoor plants and fun, weird varieties too. They also have tons of different pots and they'll put your plant in pot w dirt too if you're in a hurry and buying a gift. And then the seasonal inventories are great. Right now beautiful hanging baskets. A great place to buy a gift.

Great selection and variety of both indoor and outdoor plants, with most affordably priced. There were many different varieties of houseplants (succulents, calatheas, etc.) and herbs/vegetables to choose from! A much more diverse selection than I've seen most other places especially compared to big box stores.
Here was my latest haul of herbs/vegetables, also the nursery pots are often packed with a lot of plant even though the pots are small!

Great selection. Very understaffed, rude, and slow process to checkout

Smaller selection at this location and a tad more expensive, but they do have some neat stuff.

Very uncomfortable experience, not welcoming to black women, was followed around while shopping which I found odd because I honestly don’t know how I would smuggle plants out the front door with the attire I had on, wasn’t friendly stood at the counter while I checked out
I will be calling corporate

While this location is on the smaller side compared to other Strader’s locations, it’s the staff here that make a difference. Super friendly and knowledgeable.
If you need smaller items, both in size or quantity, this location is great. If you need larger items or quantities, go to one of the larger locations.

This has been a great little garden center for 40 years. The new greenhouse is a wonderful addition and the improved floorplan is nice too.
