Desperately looking for food right now that happens to be prescription. Called and said that I could bring my pet in as an emergency visit so I could buy a $3 can of cat food. Will not take local trusted prescriptions like so many other locations would be willing to do if they had the food in stock. So now I know where all the food is, but no one can get. The most annoying part is this vet didn't want to see my cat for allergies until I tried the food switch with my current vet. So how can I try food if I cannot find it. Vets should care about other pets, not about getting $$$$$ just for a small can of food. I'll keep trying elsewhere. I'd rather drive 100 miles than give this place my money right now.

ER experience—Before our dog was even taken to the back for care we were quickly charged almost $300. After he was kept in the back (he was supposed to have a planned stay to be monitored after a surgery earlier in the day by another vet) for maybe an hour the hospital called us to say they did not have space to keep him overnight and that we were to come pick him up. I understand it was not an emergency (to osu) that he be monitored but at no point was it offered to refund us our money. So ultimately we paid $300 to OSU to hold our dog in a crate for an hour. The stay was coordinated by our vet and the ER staff. When we spoke with the staff at OSU they repeatedly said they never got a call that day from our vet. Until the last time we spoke with them they did say they did have someone from their staff who took the call, but they were gone for the day and they would not reach them. Again, I get communication errors, but make it right and don’t keep hundreds of dollars from someone if you didn’t treat the pet.

I brought Hank in on Friday and then again Saturday. Unfortunately, he did not make it and my life was shattered. I am forever greatful for OSU and their treatment of Hank, myself, and our family.Dr. Cassandra did everything she could. She was compassionate, intelligent and really cared about my baby. I will forever be grateful for the care she provided and love she gave him in his final hours. I could not have asked for a better veterinarian. She really did everything she could and when the time came- she gave me the honesty and compassion to make the most difficult decision. Thank you for giving him the best care. I will forever be grateful to you.

Let me start out by saying I have never ever written anything like this before about a place. But I felt ,people should really know how there pet could be not taken care of at OSUVMC. Our dog Bandit was hurt bad for sure and needed help. We took him to OSUVMC thinking he would get the best of care. We trusted what we were being told. I can tell you these people can not be trusted, When we got there the people that took him in from our car were great. But after that we felt like they just did not give him the help he needed . With what they told us was wrong with him he should we feel he should have been taken into surgery right then. Instead he laid there for 24 hours waiting and getting worst . We had to call and plead to get them to do surgery. By the time they got him in is was to late. The one thing that I will always remember about OSUVMC that they were always making sure they were going to get paid, Sorry to say they seemed more concerned about payment than our Bandit. Bandit was in there care for around 28 hours and they charged us around $5000. Every time they asked for more money we said yes whatever it takes just take care of Bandit. So this all being said I would not take my pet there for a emergency find someplace else if possible.Take them to a place you can Trust and that is not The Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Center.Knowing what we know now had we gotten Bandit to a place that would have taken care of his needs most likely he would still be with us.Ron Kanouse South Webster Ohio

Very impressed with the professional staff and care they gave our dog Harrison. He had a case of hemorrhagic gastroenteritis. Two days in hospital and he turned the corner back towards normal. We are lucky to have such a great animal hospital nearby. If I could make them my primary care provider, I probably would!

Our victorian bulldog was hit by a car. We took him to osu vet emergency on campus. Where he had to be put on a ventilator. He was there shy of 7 days. Dr. Bruchette and Dr. Finstad plus the team saved our baby. He is home now resting with a lot of recovery to be had. I dont have the words to describe how grateful we are because in the beginning we didn't think he was going to make it.

Our cat, Salem was very sick when we first brought him into the Dublin OSU Vet Urgent Care. They were able to stabilize him. However, we were informed that he may need further treatment and possibly need to be hospitalized. The next day, he became worse. We decided to skip Urgent Care and took him down to the vet hospital. We were informed that Salem had a high probably of cancer. Due to his age we chose to not do a biopsy of his intestine. He stayed overnight and was stabilized. It also gave us time to decide if we should euthanize our precious cat. With the care and support Salem received from Dr. Yaxley, we were able to take him home. Salem perked up and showed us he still had lots of life left in him. Salem is doing well. He has gained weight. He is eating, grooming and moving around. He has his routine back and he let's us know when it's time to eat. --very vocal. Thank you, Dr Yaxley, Dr.Wallinger, and their Teams for saving my cat and giving us more time with him.

I unfortunately am not pleased with my little experience with Ohio State Vet. I had heard mixed reviews but decided to try. I had a two month old German shepherd that I had just brought home knowing that he had a grade four heart murmur but I wanted to give him a good chance. After bringing our boy home, we reached out to OSU Vet where they deemed him not an emergency, even though I complained of his massive bloating, difficulty breathing, pale gums and lack of energy. They suggested that I make an appointment for the next available… October. Five months later. After expressing my concern with waiting that long seeing as how intense his murmur was, I was told “that’s what I can do.” Two days later, he collapsed. My partner gave him CPR and we rushed him to the closest vet where they weren’t able to revive him. If they would have taken me seriously, he may still be here with us. Then today after they called to confirm my appointment, I told them my issues and why I was cancelling it, my only response was “sorry.” Only a sorry for me expressing my concern with their lack of professionalism and service? Do better so that this doesn’t happen again.

It's the best care. They're the best..Like human grade care for your pets.Having them save 2 dogs over the years with unrelated issues the quality of care each time was just out of this world..After trusting one local vet to do a hernia repair on my German Shepherd, and botching it to the point he had to be put to sleep I will be having OSU do any/all surgeries for here on out.

Don't waste your time going it's never open. I wish the hospital would get rid of this Subway and bring in something that will actually be open!!!!!

If I could give them zero stars, I would. They are never open when their hours indicate that are, the guy that works there is unbelievably rude, he shuts down the store whenever he feels like and wanders off. Don’t waste your time, just go somewhere else.

I worked over there for a week doing construction, saw the worker 1 time. That was went I went to try and get breakfast and her was leaving. He left at 9:41a! Total waste of space! Owner must be good on the PPP bc they haven't made no money from business at that location! If your over there and want subway, go to the next option bc I'd bet my top dollar that they are closed!
