It was really fun, but a little confusing. A man with red tape and a mask over his face entered the room. At first, I was just going to see a guy drum. He said "if you can't see I am Clancy" so I'm gonna assume it's his name.
The man with the tape started to sing about why we shouldn't hesitate to overcompensate or something like that to all the public, including me. Finally, we listened to him and put tape like him. And right when we were ready to destroy Dema for once, we discovered he seized a dead body. For me, he's still trustworthy.
Else, the drumming show before was really good.

Nice vintage venue! First time visit Sept 2024 for a Howard Jones/ABC/Haircut 100 show. Built in 1898 so definitely older but maintained. Record high temp that day so it was quite hot but I could feel the A/C working. Not a bad seat in the house; SRO on the floor. Sound was amazing. The bars were busy all night. Staff was helpful. $10 parking garage was a very short walk.

I went here a few years ago. The staff were incredibly sweet and the venue was beautiful. I had to leave early and they let me take a shirt with me (paid, but the merch was shutting down). I still wear that shirt a ton! :)

I'm sure that venue is delightful. Terrible tippers if you are delivering there FYI.

We couldn't be happier with our choice of The Columbus Athenaeum as our wedding venue. From the moment we started planning, Francisco and Lucinda took charge of ironing out every detail, ensuring our day was as personal and special as we had envisioned. Their communication and willingness to accommodate our needs were outstanding, and they went above and beyond to offer solutions that helped us stay as close to our budget as possible. I didn't feel overly pressured or judged like I had while touring other wedding venues.
One of the biggest conveniences of this venue was the comprehensive in-house services they offered. We didn't have to worry about sourcing tables, chairs, linens, or head table backdrops—they had it all covered. The package included delicious hors d'oeuvres, a beautifully plated dinner, dessert, beverages, and bartending services. They even provided a photobooth, some decor, table numbers, and so many other fantastic add-ons that made our planning process so much easier.
Also worth a mention, T.C.A. has many Ceremony and Reception rooms to choose from which makes them so unique. In the end we decided to go with The Oak Room, but loved the historical charm and personality each individual room had to offer.
Lastly! You can't beat T.C.A.'s location. We loved the convenience of nearby parking garages and meters for out of town guests. We were also able to reserve a room block at the Renaissance Hotel - Downtown Columbus. Many of our guests were able to park at the hotel and walk to / from our reception. Very easy planning for us!
The Columbus Athenaeum truly made our wedding day stress-free and enjoyable. We would recommend them without hesitation and look forward to utilizing their services again in the future!

Very cool historical venue in downtown Columbus. Just saw a big bad voodoo, daddy and it was a lot of fun. Atmospheric venue with good acoustics. We saw the show, though in the upstairs venue and there are an awful lot of steps to climb. Other than that, really fun place to see a show.
