12:50 pm on saturday.
Just brought in two propane tanks and they refused to exchange.
She said: " I can't exchange those when i'm the only one here!"
And the insulting thing is, she said it like i'm the one who did something wrong!
As if I was crazy for expecting her to let me spend $60+ at this establishment!
So, I put back the beverages I picked out and left. I guess I have to go someplace else.
This has happened before a couple times, but I figured it was a rare thing. But I'm done. This is obviously something they do a lot.
Great business practices.

For a while I started to dislike this store, there was a new manager who wasn’t personable at all, he literally seems like he didn’t want to do his job.
There’s been a few changes recently, and I would say for the better. The store manager name Brandon is very cool, always busting tail, and is very approachable.

Crazy employees. Having weird people hanging out at night threatening customers trying to get gas after freezing my card. No help what so ever. Never going and dealing with threatening employees again. Having weird people hanging out with the cashier lady at night is wack and she was acting extremely rude to point I thought that she and her buddies were all drinking or doing something while she was working. People following me out to my car cause your cashier lady is tweaking and incompetent to do her job. Rude and disrespectful to say the least. The fact you freeze peoples accounts because you don’t have $100 is insane. I’m not rich my work just started up again so I’m low on money. Pls close and open a sheetz. Just know you lost a customer who will only talk the truth of your businesses behavior to anyone.

The workers used to take pride in their jobs. Not of here lately. Texting and calling while ringing customers in. Never any cheese sauce, iced coffee or even properly working fountain drinks… it’s a shame I’ve been coming here for 5 years and this year .. 2023 they have fell ALL THE WAY OFF.

I came to the Thortons on Wilson Rd to get gas. The first pump I used was broken so I went inside the store to inform the cashier and she took care of that. I then drove around to 3 different pumps at this station, input my info into 3 different machines, and every one of them told me to "see cashier." I went inside to pre-pay and my card registered. So, I know the issue was not my card. I have no idea why the gas pumps are programmed this way. The only thing I can figure is that Thortons does this on purpose, a marketing ploy, to make people go inside the store and possibly buy more stuff. If this is the case, that's a great way to lose customers. Some of us just want to gas and go and not be forced into a store we don't want to go in.
