Every time I come over to this location they have their buying counter closed always saying they are short staffed. I have even driven across town when i call and they say it is open then arrive and it is closed. Something needs to be done about this.

I could not be happier with my experience here today! The staff were very professional and extremely helpful. And Maria especially went above and beyond and helped me find a dress that I needed before Friday and did an absolute wonderful job but the fact that she thought about me enough to suggest I try it on was really really awesome. Not only does this store give great buyouts for great stuff, but they are helpful and have a great selection to choose from as well! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just give to Goodwill. They took 7 pieces that I paid around $500 for. Was hoping they would be a bit better than Plato’s since they charge more. I got $30 total. I rather contribute to Goodwill. Also, don’t know for this was the cause, but 2 hours after giving my phone number I started getting spammed with a crazy amount of calls from random numbers (like 15 a day). Just saying in case anyone else has this experience.

I don’t leave reviews normally but this one shows for the mother that owns this establishment $6 offer for a MINT Vintage Kroger UNION Teamster Jacket from the 70s/80s (valued $75-200) you should be ashamed of that offer some items are not just the best profit margin. So I hope this reaches others well for unique items don’t even bother .

I had a disappointing experience at Uptown Cheapskate today. My clothing buy was accidentally combined with another person’s, and I was initially given a much higher payout. The store later called me to come back and return most of the payout, which was really frustrating and inconvenient. The girl I spoke with was very kind and clearly felt bad about the situation(I don't blame her at all), but the mistake still left a bad impression. I hope the store improves their buying process so this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

4 stars because the selection is pretty good, prices are a little high but to be expected when they are buying the clothes instead of receiving donations (some thrift stores are trying to price like this with stuff they received for free and it infuriates me lol) that being said, trying to sell here was a horrible experience. I had a Michael Khors purse, very clean and they wouldn’t buy it for some teeny tiny mark that like I didn’t even realize was there (and I’m sure no customer would have picked it up and said oh no won’t buy that!) but I knew before I even handed it to them that were going to say no lol they were busy and just had an attitude that said “don’t even waste your time, we ain’t gonna buy whatever it is” same experience with clothes/jeans another time. I think maybe they bought one thing and it was like so weird and random and the only thing I DIDN’T think they’d want lol. I get that’s probably the worst part of the job, going through clothes but they could idk put a sign out saying hey we aren’t buying much right now but give it a shot! Or we are looking for these VERY specific items:…so please don’t be offended if we don’t buy your items at this time, maybe try another time. Yall could even post on your website or Facebook like specifically what your looking for, and post it OFTEN and “winter apparel” really doesn’t cover it lol idk might help keep people less offended/angry when none of their items are purchased. Direct them to your Facebook for the next time so they might come back with stuff you DO want.
